Curated immersive DIY art-music experiences on unceded Wurundjeri land. Run by artist/ravers, femme-centred, loud and proud. 🇵🇸
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Building a unified front between proletariat workers and those oppressed in colonies is what will lead us in our international revolutionary struggle against the imperialist, capitalist powers that be.
Therefore, the team at EcleKtia have decided to put a spotlight on the current situation in Cuba. I’m sure a lot of our followers are aware of the history of Cuba’s colonial and revolutionary struggle, but for those who don’t we will try keep it succinct;

For over 60 years the US has placed Cuba under tight sanctions (along with many other attempts at destabilising Cuba) as a reaction to its struggle for decolonisation.
Recently, Trump used a federal indictment to remove Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro. Venezuela and Cuba were close allys. Prior to this, Venezuela provided Cuba with oil in exchange for medical staff, teachers and other highly-sought workers.
Trump has ordered a near total oil embargo on Cuba. Cuba has run out of its imported oil, relying on a few miniscule domestic wells. Widespread power outages in the nation last up to 22 hours in cities and 70 hours in more rural areas. Hospitals, food production, water distribution and transportation are affected. The US has threatened tariffs on any nation or company that attempts to aid Cuba.
Cuba is now facing a humanitarian crisis, according to the UN.
Cuba is approaching a genocide impeached by the US. We cannot allow this to happen.
Latin America continues to be intervened in, dominated and controlled by the US as they please.

Our donations through this event will go directly towards buying solar powered generators, medical supplies and other material forms of aid that will be brought directly to Cuba through a brigade fiscally sponsored by The People’s Forum in alignment with the National Network of Cuba. We will not make any profit from these donations. There will also be a gold coin donation box where you will be able to purchase zines directly from the National Network of Cuba. We hope that this event will foment a revolutionary spirit in each one of our attendees.

Signed,
Your EcleKtic comrades <3 by @eclekticcollective

EcleKtic Collective presents: A Session for Cuba
A Sunday evening of DIY post-punk, synths, zines, art, music, making + collective mischief!

On 18th October, 5pm-11pm, we’re taking over a cosy little studio space in Brunswick for an intimate gathering built around creativity, experimentation and community. This is a small capacity event, the first of a series we’ve been planning for a while!

Expect:
🎛️ Live synths + experimental electronic sounds
💿 Vinyl DJs + open decks
📖 Zines + an art market
🎨 Collaborative art, live painting + projections
 🥘 Food + warm drinks
🛋️ A cosy space to hang, make things, listen, dance + create

Sonically, we’re drawing from the strange and beautiful crossover between early synthpop, experimental electronica and the post-punk movement; think Kraftwerk, DIY electronics, noisy machines and everything in between.

This is a BYO, non-profit DIY event. Any profits will be directed towards material aid for Cuba, including medical supplies, solar lanterns, school kits and hygiene products, through the National Network of Cuba.

Art and music are not separate from the world around us. We believe events can be spaces for solidarity, mutual aid, experimentation and collective care.

Come make something, alone or with mates. Bring something, dance, sit on the couch, make a collage, meet someone + stay awhile xx

Part two of some of the talents to expect on Friday 28/8. Tix in our bio xx

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @meka.bloom
“For my opening set expect an exploration of the elements beginning with water and flowing between earth and air, all the way to the cosmos. I will not take a subdued opening approach as I feel doofs are the perfect playground to explore a range of music and styles, to initiate a diverse range of dance moves on the dfloor. Also, if I were to keep things subdued or soft I fear this would be adhering to the patriarchy, so I will not. I do however intend to set the tone for a colourful night of feminine energy and creative expression, so come along faes, fairies, gremlins, dearest queer friends and allies.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @veetangri
Naarm-based selector CTRL-V (vee) brings an uncompromising blend of rolling drumlines, heavyweightbass, and restless energy to the dancefloor. Moving fluidly through the lineage of UK soundsystem culture and her diasporic roots, her sets are physical, percussive, and built to keep bodies in motion. Having played across iconic Naarm venues including MusicRoom, Howler, Section 8, TheToff and Wax Music Lounge, she continues to expand her sound through the city’s many scenes, pulling from global bass, percussive club and crate digs.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @isabelhorrorstory
Isabel Trufas is a visual artist based in Naarm, living and working on unceded Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung land. She works with a mixture of media, primarily airbrush painting, soft fabrics and clay. Informed by an obsession with subcultures, fashion and body modification, the work explores gendered self-expression as an euphoric yet uncomfortable performance.

Exaggerated and hyper-decorative compositions are at the core of her work. Through excessive, overwhelming visual language and intensely soft materiality, her work evokes a sense of tension and transformation.

She will be selling some artworks alongside many other talented artists at our art market :) by @eclekticcollective

We are delighted to present three of our musical talents for Friday night 28/8! All sets will be two hour journeys, so get keen, tix in our bio xx

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @___lazydaisy
Lazy Daisy is a Pōneke (Wellington, Aotearoa) born, Naarm-based disc jockey who first entered the scene in 2020. Known for her distinctive taste in techno and breaks, Daisy has carved her path through Aotearoa’s underground; performing alongside heavy hitters Spektre, Slumber Jack, Half Queen, Denham Audio, AK Sports, and more.

Daisys sound is now beginning to echo through the abandoned spaces and clubs of Naarm. Bringing an undeniable energy to every crowd she faces, her biggest goal is to create unforgettable dance floor memories.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @bass.shaman
“I’ll be bringing some heavy bass, with grime to start, then moving into drum an bass; as the sun rises I have some euphoric liquid, breaks and trance that I might dip into depending on what people are vibing on. I have no solid plan so we’ll see where the energy of the environment is at.” ~Bass Shaman

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- @trashbaoot
With sounds falling under the umbrella of maximalist electronic pop fusion, libby provides jaunty, animated sounds that make your whole soul and body move. Creating a safe, fun, and welcoming space with the power to give back to the communities that made these sounds possible. SHAKE YO BOOTY!! I twerk. Therefore. I am. ~Trashbaoot by @eclekticcollective

A few hundred years ago and we would’ve been burnt at the stake, today we throw doofs.
This ones for the witches who lowkey rule the underground. Psychics, clairvoyants and witches, gather your crystals, bring the tarot cards, and tap into your intuition, this august full moon, we join our divine forces and come together. Ofc our beloved allies are invited too, we’ll only be casting moonlight spells on those who deserve it.

With our powerful all femme lineup, we create a space for your manifestation, including otherwordly music, mystical projections, smokey cauldrons, psychic readings, art market and live painting.

🧙‍♀️August 28
🌝9pm-7am
🌬️Secret Location
🧞‍♀️Strictly 18+
🔮BYO (no trace, no glass)

Let the scent of incense ground you as genres will travel with you through psychedelic techno and tribe into jungle, jersey and bass/breaks, just to name a few of the runic sounds at this doof, all the way till sunrise.

On the night of august 28th, Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, giving us a very deep partial lunar eclipse, so deep that Earth’s darkest shadow, its umbra, will bathe the Full Moon in a rusty red color. A partial lunar eclipse brings forth emotional culmination, heightened sensitivity, compassion, dreamwork, and the releasing of illusions.

August’s full moon is the Kangaroo Moon. This is because at this time of year Kangaroos and wallabies have their joeys emerging from their safe and warm pouches as they start exploring their environment. They become a little more independent and this full moon could also be called The Full Growing Moon. Symbolically, this represents deep wisdom, endurance, abundance, and the unseen life moving beneath the surface.

There will be no door tickets for this event, online tickets will start cheap and stay that way.

Shef is a natural storyteller, balancing precision with play. Calm yet commanding behind the decks, she guides the dancefloor through immersive waves that feel intentional, cohesive and unapologetically fun. Every transition is deliberate, every shift considered, building moments that move bodies, lift the room and invite people to shake ass and feel free.

Not confined to one lane, Shef operates as a bridge, merging discipline with spontaneity, softness with drive, and strangers into something shared.

Momentum is building.

Come find out what’s been cooking in her kitchen on 14/03/26 !
