The rooms set the scene, but the people were the reason we gathered.

Our Artisan Spotlight at the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse was a chance to spend time with the artisans and designers behind the spaces, hear about their collaborations, and celebrate the work that brought them together.

So much goes into a finished room beyond what you see in a photograph: conversations between designers and makers, creative problem-solving, and hours spent getting the details just right. Bringing those collaborators together in the house they helped create made the evening especially meaningful.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and proud to help spotlight the talent, care, and relationships that make this design community so special. by @eclld

We were asked by the very talented Studio FSW Interiors (Rachel Stollar, Erin Fearins and Ward Welch) to add the grass checkerboard paving and plant the terrace at this years Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse at 1 Monroe Place. It was a joy to work with such a talented team. They orchestrated many vendors, us included, to create their Tennis Club theme.

Rachel, Erin and Ward thank you for asking us to be involved.

We transformed another space creating outdoor rooms with many functions in Tribeca. When a space lacks views we created an internally focused space where what we designed becomes the view from the interior. Thank you Kati Curtis @katicurtisdesign and Frank Razzino her interior contractor for bringing us on board. #courtyardlandscape #outdoorroom #outdoorkitchen #katicurtisdesign #nycgardens by @eclld

The kind of evening that reminds you why we design outdoor spaces in the first place. ✨

Good friends, great conversation, candlelight, and a patio made for lingering long after dinner ends.

When your clients ask for a shade structure and decorative arbors we can show them structures that work with their interior aesthetics. From traditional to modern. We work with our clients, their architect and interior designer to create that outdoor room perfect for entertaining. We've added heaters, fans, drop down screens for shade and insects, cool misters, hanging light fixtures and heaters. #shade #landsape #roofterrace #nycrooftop #canopy ##pergola #outdoorliving by @eclld

After many years maintaining this beautiful garden I designed for a corporate client on Park Ave its time to say goodbye. Our client is moving to the Hudson Yards and everything has to be removed off the terrace. #nycgardens #greenroofplanting #kousadogwoods #floweringperennials #gardeninthesky #highlineinspired #perennials by @eclld

In 1965, Claus Oldenberg proposed a giant Teddy Bear on Central Park North. Sadly, it was never realized. I placed this mirrored Teddy Bear on my clients terrace to reference his vision. It captures Central Park and the surrounding topiary greenry in both form and reflection. It's also a contemporary take on Oldenburgs' concept as if it was realized by Jeff Koons or Anish Kapoor.

It's always interesting to collaborate with a client who loves the creative process.
This latin saying epitomizes my wonderful clients view of art.
When creating a garden, it's always in the details, and I'm a firm believer that a garden should reflect the person whom you're designing it for.

A backyard project was completed with a lot of program elements to create a functional outdoor room. Adding a louvered pergola, outdoor kitchen, bar seating, dining for 12, outdoor lounge seating, and privacy fabric retractable awning all within roughly 750 sq feet.
