Wondering what to wear on safari & why it matters? I gotchu 🙂‍↔️

•What colors to avoid
•Which fabrics to choose
•What to pack & what to leave behind

💬 reminder to shop your closet first or ask to borrow items from friends and family. Last resort, thrift stores are treasure troves for linens

It’s the last day of Fashion Week, and before the media pressures you that you need to buy something new to stay on trend, let me try to convince you that sustainable fashion can be just as stylish (& fun) 💃

About 90% of my wardrobe is thrifted/ secondhand. For me, thrifting feels like a treasure hunt- it sparks creativity figuring out how I could wear a thrifted piece with what I already own, rather than letting a mannequin dictate my entire outfit. I look for high-quality pieces that will last, and when it’s time to refresh my closet, I sell on Depop, at a local reseller, or host a clothing swap with friends.

♻️ While I’ll always be an advocate for reuse and secondhand shopping over buying new, I do want to emphasize that overconsumption of anything (including thrifted finds) can have negative impacts i.e driving up prices at thrift stores, making it harder for people who don’t have other options. Shopping your own closet & outfit repeating is #1. Fashion in my eyes is a privilege and with that comes a responsibility.

Drop a comment if you’d like tips on thrifting, reselling, or organizing swaps-happy to share 🤗

& no one was here 🌾

if you’re not a fan of the tourist crowds, take a quieter stroll after closing time. the shops and facilities close around 6pm but the coastal trail is still open (unless marked).

happy walking 🍀

little update: been buuuuusy 😮‍💨

turns out there’s a few logistics involved with picking up your life and moving to a different country.

excited to share more about what life looks like now. i’m currently living in Europe’s most bikeable city, in an artist’s apartment, & plotting where i’m traveling next between school readings.

stay tuned💌

with the post-pandemic travel boom, luggage brands seem to have convinced us that travel requires a $200+ suitcase, or better yet, a matching collection. i’m all for buying durable things that last, but shouldn’t that be the focus?

🧳 a suitcase’s job isn’t to look pristine. it’s to get bumped, scratched, dented, and dragged across the world while keeping your belongings safe. so why replace a perfectly functional bag just because it no longer matches an aesthetic?

personally, i’d rather travel with a $25 secondhand suitcase that already wears its adventures than spend $200+ worrying about the first scratch

you? 💬

the world cup is supposed to be a game for ~the world~ but 2026 is proving that politics decides who plays, stays, and cheers. referees turned away at airports. fans denied entry after saving up, booking flights, and jumping through every visa hoop. ticket holders from Morocco, Iran, Senegal- locked out.

jules boykoff said it best: “a world cup of exclusion.”

🕵️‍♀️what’s the coolest furniture or item you found thrifting?

it’s crazy to think that 12 million tons of furniture ends up in the landfill annually- that’s in the U.S. alone. 🤯
meanwhile there’s so much quality secondhand furniture out there that don’t break the bank.

🪴here’s what I spent to furnish my living room with all secondhand furniture from fb marketplace and my local thrift stores.
