Beautiful start to polling day 💚✨

The sun is shining and people are ready to vote Green! by @eco_ty

Getting towards the end of week 1 and still feels so surreal looking back at the photos from last week 💚✨

So grateful to my fellow cllrs in Hackney Wick and all over Hackney as we get ready to deliver a fairer, greener Hackney, led by our amazing new mayor @zoegarbettgreen 🙌🏾

Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages and comments, it really means the world ☺️ by @eco_ty

As we approach the start of #COP30 on Monday, and another chance for us to put pressure on decision makers and get our voices heard, I wanted to look back on the incredible #makethempay mobilisation on 20 September.

The billionaires, super-rich, corporations, and politicians that enable them are profiting from crises whilst pointing the blame at the most marginalised and vulnerable communities.

We say no more.

I've just arrived in Brazil for #COP30, and I'll be pushing these same demands and more.

It's time to make them pay.
It's time for climate justice.
It's time for a new tomorrow.

People and Planet first 💚 by @eco_ty

What an absolute privilege to join the first ever Football Action Refugee tournament here in Hackney Wick on Mabley Green. And even more of a privilege to be able to present the medals and trophies to the deserving winners ⚽

Football has the power to bring people together and I'm so proud that this took place in Hackney Wick ✨

Thanks to @footballactionnetwork for having me and putting on such an amazing, positive day 💚 by @eco_ty

Today I joined activists outside Shell's headquarters to stand in solidarity with communities across the world fighting for justice and accountability from one of the world's biggest climate criminals.

From survivors of Typhoon Odette in the Philippines taking Shell to court, to communities in the Niger Delta demanding justice for decades of environmental destruction, Shell's record speaks for itself.

And as Shell announces yet more billions in profits, we came together to expose the lies and deception of a company that knew about the dangers of climate change decades ago, yet continued to put profits before people and planet.

And still, our government continues to enable them. Having approved Jackdaw, it is now considering Rosebank, which would mean even more emissions, more destruction and more profits for Shell. by @eco_ty

Unacceptable that Jackdaw was approved.
We must ensure they do not approve Rosebank.
We need all of the movement to make noise. by @eco_ty

📢 Join BADIL and activists from the solidarity and Palestinian movement in Britain to discuss how we build collective power, escalate resistance and impose comprehensive sanctions to end the UK government’s complicity.

From genocide and apartheid to colonisation, forced displacement and the denial of Palestinian rights, the UK plays a central role in enabling and sustaining the Israeli regime’s crimes against the Palestinian people.

The first in BADIL Resource Center’s Complicity Files series unpacks the UK’s role in sustaining these crimes and sets out a strategic analysis to confront state complicity through different repertoires of resistance.

🗓️Thursday 22 October- 6pm London time - 8pm Palestine time

No complicity without accountability. No Israeli impunity without resistance. by @eco_ty

“When we talk about reparatory justice, we must reject attempts to narrow the conversation to one about money alone.”

Justice also means ending the ongoing harm of enslavement and colonialism.

Register for this year's conference, where we'll be discussing what that takes with @eco_ty and other great speakers! #LinkInBio

"Football belongs to us. It belongs to communities. It belongs to the kids kicking a ball around your parks, playgrounds, and estates.

It does not belong to corporations looking to buy themselves a better reputation through sportswashing."

Football clubs aren't just any corporations. They represent communities, identities, histories.

That's why we see fans as part of the solution, because ordinary people don't support genocide. To your Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man United, Man City fans - write to your clubs. Tell them to show sponsors of genocide the red card 🟥 by @eco_ty

⚽️ Our most popular football clubs have sponsors complicit in Israel’s genocide and apartheid against the Palestinians. Our beloved game is being corrupted. The government, the clubs, and fans must end this bloody complicity and show genocide the red card. by @eco_ty
