Had to take a break when the humidity was high. Back to work now that it’s cool & dry. She will be done by and by.

Three summers, three falls, painting when the weather is cool on the screened porch, on the days when I find time, in between teaching art to children, in between creating pieces in my studio, in between the daily chores that life demands, I sit on the porch … and I paint this.

Beautiful day on the screened porch, continuing the work on a piece of art, a painted stool. So satisfying turning a dumpster-dive find into a boho chic table for our favorite hang.

Painting the berry colored background. It t’s such satisfying work on a calm, summer, Sunday evening on the porch.

Fun swirly shapes painted on a purple background for the 3rd leg. I really didn’t know where I was going with this leg. When in doubt, just have fun and enjoy the process of painting. I love how it turned out ❤️

Legs are coming along! Loving the way the orange bounces off the lavender background.
