POSTS STORIES REELS

Our community of ecochampions has tremendously increased over the last week, and we thought it wise to do a special welcome!

To everyone who recently found out about our work and joined us- Welcome to the ecobarter family, where waste isn't trash but a currency for essential payments and cash.

Our work is centred around building smart systems to collect wastes directly from you, enabling you to use those wastes as a currency, and transforming those wastes into new high-quality products.

To collect:
-We offer doorstep pickups in select cities on scheduled days. The cities we pickup from, the routes and schedules are pinned on our instagram page.
To request pickup, simply download our mobile application on google or ios stores or use the web app at https://app.ecobarter.africa- all these links are in our bio.

- We also have drop-off stations.
We built Nigeria's first ever locally manufactured reverse vending machine, basically an ATM that allows you to return your empty plastic bottles and cans in exchange for cash. And we have them deployed across different strategic locations. Check the link in our bio to find out if we have one near you.
Using the ATM is simple, press start on the machine, insert your empties, press complete when you are done, scan the QR code on the screen or print a receipt to get your money into your ecobarter wallet from where you can transfer to your bank, buy airtime, data or electricity in app.

What we collect:
Please note that the machine only accepts plastics bottles and cans.

Request pickup to recycle other materials like pure water sachets, hard plastics, paper, cartons, metals and e-wastes.

What we do with the wastes:
We work with different manufacturing companies to transform the different wastes into new products and also work with local community women & youths to convert some of these wastes into new products using local techniques. Check out what we do with purewater sachets @wrep_ecobarter and organic wastes @ecobarterenergy

We are excited that you've decided to be a part of the solution and not the pollution. And we cannot wait to start recovering wastes directly from you.

Happy Recycling everyone. by @ecobarter

Meet Esther, an EcoChamp who embraced recycling with Ecobarter.
For Esther, recycling has become more than just disposing of waste properly. It’s about making a conscious choice to do something better with the things she often threw away.
Through Ecobarter, she’s part of a growing community turning recyclable waste into value and making everyday actions count.
Her story is a reminder that change doesn’t always start with something big. Sometimes, it starts with what we choose to do with our waste.
Be like Esther. Recycle with Ecobarter.

Everyone talks about sustainability, but what does it look like in our everyday lives?
We asked the Ecobarter team how they contribute to a more sustainable environment, and their answers prove that it doesn’t always take grand gestures. Sometimes, it starts with what you do with an empty plastic bottle, the habits you encourage at home, or the choices you make every day.
Now, we’re asking you: what’s one sustainability habit you practise regularly?
