Happy Independence Day. Take the pledge for No More AI. I personally am declaring Independence from Gemini, ChatGpt, Claude, Midjourney etc. ……Today I’m a drawing of Pinoleville Pomo Nation’s Rx/Cultural Burn conducted this week which I had the pleasure and privilege to attend by Ukiah, California. It seems a fitting opportunity for me personally to declare Independence. Independence from AI - and especially data centers. #coloredpencil #noai #independence #july4th #soveriegnty taken in Ukiah, California by @ecosocialdrawing

Sunset over San Pablo Bay. Viewed from Hercules on #goldrunner #amtrak #sanjoaquintransitauthority. Isn’t it something that just this time right around the solstice the sun is so far north such that the evening rays come just here over this large stretch of Bay. #coloredpencil #sanpablobay by @ecosocialdrawing

When most people think of the California Bay Laurel, we think of dark green fragrant leaves or maybe small nimble light green leaves. Rarely, deep in the forest, there are newly sprouted Umbellularia California that are deep reddish purple like this. #fierce #cute #soft #rare taken in UC Berkeley by @ecosocialdrawing
