🌀 Your Dj @jase_elkemist 🌀 Elkemist is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, producer / hybrid live DJ, facilitator and ceremonialist who plays multi-genre sets rooted in mystical sounds and ethnic flavours. With a deep love of tribal bass blended with rising psychedelic energy, his sets are curated to take audiences on a sacred journey of sonic alchemy, supported by live looping with yidaki/didjeridoo, vocals, flute and percussion. Having played at festivals around Canada and Australia including Shambhala (CAN), Wicked Woods (CAN), Rainbow Spirit (AUS), Dragon Dreaming (AUS) and Wild Horses (AUS), he was also booked to close the Chill Island stage at last year’s canceled Esoteric Festival. While living in Canada, he co-founded a weekly ecstatic dance called Dance Wave, and he recently launched this offering in Australia to host intentional dance journeys and ceremonial gatherings for his hometown community. Whether it’s a peak time psychedelic set, rising tribal bass journey, ecstatic dance or sunrise festival set, expect a voyage across space and time, inspired by sounds from around the world to encourage the audience to move beyond the perceived limits of their bodies and minds. This Friday, ELKEMIST takes the decks 🌿✨ We gather as a forest ~ embodying our own unique shapes, each movement part of a greater network. Feet finding earth, spines spiralling, breath opening space beneath the ribs. Let the dance be tangled, tender, wild. Follow what stirs, move with what’s alive, and rest when your body asks. Come as you are. Let’s see what grows when we move together. 💙 Friday 9 October | 7 - 10pm Our Lady’s Hall, East Brunswick Tix link in bio 💫 by @ecstaticdancemelb

Malaika • DJ Ma joins us in Melbourne for one set only! 💃🕊️♥️ A pioneer of the conscious dance movement, Malaika’s Jamaican roots led her to Africa, where she studied , lived & breathed African drum, dance and spirituality. There, she experienced dance as a powerful communal practice for healing, marking life’s passages , from birth and death to initiation , and connecting with ancestral realms and the divine. Returning to Australia, she felt a longing for spaces where people could find connection and release beyond drugs and alcohol. She created 5Elements Dance, a shamanic journey weaving electronic beats and live music, which evolved into the 5Elements Ecstatic Dance Activation she has shared globally for the past 20 years. Her offering takes us through a full dance arc, weaving pulsating world grooves, tribal house, sultry trap and deep Afro beats. From wild collective activation into somatic bliss, she guides us home to a grounded, heart-centred closing prayer for Mama Bali and a moment of community unity on the dance floor. One dance floor. One special offering. It promises to be nothing short of ECSTATIC! 🤩 Friday 2nd Oct @ our lady’s hall 7-10pm $30 online $35 at the door Type ✨ ECSTATIC ✨for direct link 🔗 by @ecstaticdancemelb

✨ As we move through the threshold of Equinox and into the frequency of the Full Moon, we meet a potent moment of illumination ~ a time to see ourselves more clearly, to honour what has been, and to rise more fully into what is becoming. Together we gather in the dance , to meet ourselves. To keep leaning into our edges with more tenderness, more courage and more self-love than ever before. Rooted in self-sovereignty, we listen deeply to what is true within, while allowing the collective pulse to remind us that we do not bloom alone. This is our bright becoming. Full-bodied. Self-held. Together. Come dance yourself into fullness. This Friday 25th 7-9.30 pm Our Lady’s Hall Tix link in bio 💫 taken in 49 Nicholson Street, Brunswick East by @ecstaticdancemelb
