DJ Bae Bay, fulfilling a dream she didn't even know she had as a young child digging through her daddy's records and spinning wax. Soul music, jazz, blues, classic rock and so much more filled her heart and.... she danced.Growing up in the 80's she would ask to rent vhs tapes from Video by the Oak on breakdancing. With the fearlessness of an eight year old and strength to body weight ratio, she loved spinning around on the kitchen floor or the Sagebrush Cantina. She grew up loving hip hop and not much has changed. As an adolescent, she would record MTV raps, and would get in some heavy "discussions" with her mom when they got recorded over for cooking shows. (thanks mom for being a bad ass cook btw). At Crew Up this Sunday, she will be mixing tracks for a debut offering of her bliss, and she has to send a field of flowers to her DJ sensei, @davy_smiles along with @arula_artistry @heatherchristie.love and Dreamy for the all women dj training programs. A big bundle of flowers to @musicbyquintessence @izzy_wise and last but not least Sorrel for the technical software help, inspiration, selfless love and guidance.Deepest bows of gratitude. DJ JUAN LOVE (he/him)So pumped to bring Juan back to DJ D2D, an amazing dancer who I always enjoyed at fusion events as a DJ. So much so, that he was one of the DJ's at the first Down 2 Dance!!!The diversity of genres that he brings to the decks is what made me truly appreciate his delivery to the dance floor. Before him I rarely if ever heard hip hop at fusion events, so naturally grateful to have him DJ for CREW UP.Ever since he can remember, Juan Washington has loved all things music and dance. Juan grew up in California’s East Bay in the 1980’s, and at 4 years old he was watching his brothers breakdancing with the other neighborhood kids. He took up street tumbling at the age of 5, took martial arts classes in elementary school, became dedicated to breakdancing in high school, along with joining the cheer team, and studied: swing, hip-hop, jazz and capoeira.Juan started DJing while he was in the Air Forced stationed in North Dakota, where he DJed for mainstream dance clubs and weddings. After moving back to California, Juan took a break from DJing and immersed himself back into dance. He liked learning Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, and Kizomba. In 2015, he found the Fusion Dance community and started DJing again in 2017. DJing is such an important part of Juan’s creative expression, he is always on the hunt for new music that will challenge and inspire the dancers. He’s not afraid to take risks or think outside the box. He enjoys blending EDM, Trap and culturally diverse World Music to keep everyone on their toes (pun intended)! by @ecstaticdanceoak

Absolutely thrilled to have Auditory Anna alongside Vaughn Cannon playing classic swinging jazz for our dance tomorrow!!! Bay Area native born in Berkeley, Anna was constantly surrounded by music and art of all varieties. Her parents met while working at Zellerbach Hall Cal performances. Her father as an audio engineer, and mother as a stagehand. Anna fell in love with music and began taking professional lessons and training after the middle school talent show where it became apparent performing would be an important part of her life. People enjoy her voice just as much as she does, yet one can hear the muscle memory and hours spent practicing with the accuracy and flexibility of her tone. With a background in classical music, choral chamber arrangements as a first soprano, jazz, and her attachment to her Greek heritage, there are so many layers to her musical journey. She has even studied Jazz locally at California Jazz conservatory and abroad with the director of the renowned Athens Big Band Pianist and conductor Sami Amiris. Anna has expressed her love of funk and pop while she experiments with her original compositions collaboratively and individually. She thrives to perform and keep the love of music alive while honoring friends, fellow musicians, and mentors that are no longer with us but seem to be brought back every time their favorite song is played on a bandstand. Anna currently lives and works in San Francisco as a performer, Audio Engineer, and RF technician who produces shows for herself and fellow musicians. by @ecstaticdanceoak
