ECU VIBE started from a very specific problem.

After organizing trips in Colombia, Turkey, and Indonesia, I kept seeing the same thing: pilots had an amazing reason to travel, but their partners, families, and friends often did not have a trip built for them.

So the question became: what if one private journey could work for everyone?

That is why Ecuador is different.

On flying days, pilots can fly. Non-flyers can do tandem flights, private excursions, local experiences, or simply have a beautiful day of their own.

On non-flying days, the whole group gets Ecuador: volcanoes, the Amazon, the Pacific coast, culture, wildlife, food, hot springs, boutique stays, and real local life.

This is not a paragliding tour.
It is a private Ecuador journey with enough range for different people, different rhythms, and the right logistics behind it.

Whale season in Ecuador 🐋

Every year, from around June through September, humpback whales arrive along Ecuador’s Pacific coast after traveling thousands of miles from the cold waters of Antarctica.

They come here for the warmer tropical waters — to mate, give birth, and raise their calves.

And for a few months, the Ecuadorian coast becomes one of those places where you can simply head out into the ocean… and find yourself surrounded by whales.

This time, they weren’t particularly interested in putting on a show for us. 😄

We saw plenty of them, but unlike my trip in 2022 — when I watched them breach again and again, sometimes two at once — these guys mostly kept things low-key.

And that’s wildlife.
No schedules. No guarantees. No performances on demand.

But the day didn’t end there.

We continued to Salango Island, just off the coast of Manabí — snorkeling with tropical fish, watching sea lions and seabirds, and spending the rest of the day out on the Pacific.

And this is one of the things I love most about Ecuador:

You don’t have to travel enormous distances to have completely different experiences.

One morning you’re looking for humpback whales in the Pacific.

A few hours later, you’re swimming around an island.

And tomorrow?

You could be in the Andes, the cloud forest or somewhere completely different.

That’s Ecuador.
And that’s exactly how I like to experience it.

It changes with the light,
the season,
the altitude,
the energy.

14 km around Quilotoa at 3700–4000m ⛰️

The crazy part?

I visited this crater lake in January and August 2023.
and again in May 2026…

Same place.
Completely different colors.

Ecuador never feels the same twice.
