It was a pleasure collaborating with the Business and Entrepreneurship Department at Pitt Community College alongside colleagues from the ECU Miller School of Entrepreneurship to support the Greater Greenville Chamber’s Grow Local program.

During the session, we had the opportunity to speak with students about entrepreneurship as a career pathway, share information about our respective entrepreneurship programs, and engage students in a small business startup simulation activity.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was watching students think through real-world startup decisions—balancing risk, creativity, and strategy while building their own mock ventures.

Partnerships like this help create a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem in Eastern North Carolina by connecting students with resources, mentors, and opportunities across institutions.

Thank you to the Grow Local program and Pitt Community College for the collaboration. Looking forward to more opportunities to support the next generation of entrepreneurs.

EmpowerHER: Women’s Wellness – Mind, Body & Business, hosted by the City of Greenville NC’s Community & Development Services.

Events like this are such an important reminder that thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems don’t just happen—they are built through connection, mentorship, and spaces where women can support one another’s ideas and ambitions.

Across Eastern North Carolina and beyond, women are starting businesses, leading organizations, and strengthening our communities. When we bring women together to share experiences, talk honestly about challenges, and celebrate wins, we accelerate that momentum.

We are grateful to the @greenvillenc, especially @Tish williams and Tiana Berryman for creating opportunities like EmpowerHER that invest in the whole entrepreneur—mind, body, and business. These gatherings help build the networks, confidence, and community that women founders need to grow and succeed.

Looking forward to seeing the continued impact of the incredible women in this room. 💜
