You may have seen Dominic Haines on the news; the teenage wrestling star from Jefferson High School in Georgia whose life changed in an instant after a devastating injury left him paralyzed from the neck down during his senior year.

What the headlines didn’t show was what came next: the fight, the faith, the grit, and the miracles. ✝️

After his most recent surgery in January of 2026 (which has given him the greatest chance for recovery as well as allowing him to move limbs that were once completely dormant) and intense rehab at Shepherd Center, Dominic continues to defy expectations and reach incredible milestones in his recovery.

I never know what the day will hold each time I walk down that hall to see my mom. What I DO know, is that each and every time, my heart is filled with joy and anticipation because I get to spend just a little bit more time, just a few more minutes, making memories with this incredible lady whom God somehow saw fit, to allow me the chance to call her M❤️M.
