Empowering young Democrats in Essex County and uplifting our communities! 🇺🇸

POSTS STORIES REELS

✍️Today, Governor Mikie Sherrill took another step towards protecting consumers by signing into law “The Fair Price Protection Act”. Sponsored by Essex County Young Democrats advocate and supporter, Assemblyman Chigozie Onyema.

But before the bill landed on the governor’s desk, members of the Essex County Young Democrats Legislative Affairs Team, Tahiri Alvarado & Christian Almestica, along with several young voices across the state, testified during its committee hearings in support of the bill.

This won’t be the last time our voice is heard 🗣️ by @ecydems

Last month, we celebrated 4 years of Essex County Young Democrats and we could not be more grateful to have a room filled with so many changemakers and elected officials! Thank you is truly not enough! We heard amazing remarks from Chairman LeRoy Jones, Assemblyman Chigozie Onyema, Commissioner for the 2nd District, A’Dorian Murray-Thomas, and Commissioner Candidate for District 3, Medinah Muhammad.

Special thanks to our event sponsors, Councilwoman & Commissoner-At-Large Candidate, Christine McGrath and Mayrose Wegmann!

Thank you to our event venue, and staff at Bunny’s in South Orange!

We want to continue to uplift young voices across the county and can’t do this work alone. by @ecydems

@analiliafornj made the case for fixing our broken immigration system. NJ-11, the answer is clear on November 3rd.

“If you can fill out a form and within seconds be deemed credit worthy. It shouldn’t take 10 years to determine whether or not we want to embrace an individual within the fabric of our nation”

@analiliafornj on two faced attempts to trick voters into supporting Hathaway while bowing to Trump:

"If we allow the likes of Joe Hathaway to take a hatchet to our federal government. It is not possible to have both things. He is speaking from the both sides of his mouth."
