Welcome to my AuDHD brain. Where I will recognize a pattern and make connections between things so obscure you may just get whiplash 🤪😂

I shared this example yesterday in our first ever @notfit.io book club meeting. We’re reading emotional intelligence 2.0 and my pattern recognition just took the wheel… still valid 🤪

I remember the first time I watched my youngest son, and my personal mini me, Mason excitedly stim while watching Mickey Mouse Club house and having the initial thought of “Awww cute, I remember doing that too… He’s gonna need to learn to control that”. It’s what I was taught, it’s what I knew, it was fucking wrong.

Learning to unmask, to be comfortable just being me is one of the most liberating things I’ve come to love since I began working to better understand myself. Especially this past year.

See it’s not just about me handling the nonsense life throws my way better…

Because I’ve also learned it’s safe to take off the many masks I *thought* I had to wear, and find the joy in life where it meets me.

Just a hungry super bouncy ball of #AuDHD chaos 🤣

My @duolingo bird has been dead for months on my home screen so I apologize in advance if my #japanese pronunciation is abhorrent, but I felt it was the only way to properly do this 🤣

Anyways, with my powering being out, I decided to have some fun with it too🤣.

**Update: He fixed it 🤪🤣** by @ed_d_mame

So my power is currently out… it just blanked out suddenly and I found myself pausing to think about how that made me feel because I was in the middle of using my PC.

Being AuDHD, a sudden rapid shift like this, especially when I’m hyperfixated on something has traditionally been a very volatile thing for me. Having my meds back has helped, but the real work has come with the work I’ve done on myself too. Because I had only just taken my meds not 10mins before this. Sometimes the quiet finds you.

Yes, it’s me and Laboon again but like… you can’t be mad right? I’m not, exercise be damned, I mean LOOK AT HIM! #kitten #cute #smile #happy #friend by @ed_d_mame

I’ve always loved to #sing, and while I’ve never considered myself bad, I’ve also never thought I was very good. And I truth be told, I wasn’t.

Sure, I could carry a tune, but I had no #control. So I stopped, at a very young age, frustrated because I didn’t understand the work needed to develope the talent I still don’t fully understand, but am curiously exploring now. Thanks #AuDHD🤣

Because recently I rediscovered just how much I LOVE to sing. I mean it’s been decades, but earlier this year, while bored and doing chores around the house. So I slapped on some of my favorite #millenial classics (@greenday ‘s Jesus of Suburbia is one of my favorite songs of all time) and started belting them at the top of my lungs, at a level I would place at “tolerable karaoke”🤣

And you know what, I ended up finding a way to both keep me engaged with my chores AND work on my core. Because as I kept trying out different songs, unashamedly singing day after day (my wife @a_vela12 is a saint🤣) I began to discover my range, to learn how to use my core, to switch between my gut and my head, and above all, to just have fucking fun. 😁 by @ed_d_mame

I don’t play #fortnite except for once in a while, but I keep it installed to check out new updates and mechanics that #epicgames cooks up. No surprise that they got me good with this #onepiece collaboration. 😅🤣

SUUUUUUPPPPPPEERRRR fun, and the fact that this was the final showdown for my first #victoryroyale in ages was amazing😆

#sorrynotsorry Ace 💔😅🤪 by @ed_d_mame

When #epicgames first did the AoT and MHA collaborations I knew it was only a matter of time until #onepiece made its debut, and because I kept #fortnite Crew through Game Pass I had the Vbucks ready and waiting 🤣🤣🤣

As soon as my oldest saw it on the Switch he told me and I immediately updated Fortnite on my PC… I don’t play often, but they got me for this one 🤣

Only variants might get me to swap, or the occasional whim but its pretty much “the last suit I’ll ever wear” 🤣

Nesta doesn’t really care about Laboon, but she also can’t let him think he owns the place 🤣🤣🤣

Laboon clearly isn’t letting me leave his side again. If I’m in the house he’s either in my lap, or one pounce away and he’s sleeping up by my head between my wife and I😆

GAHHHHHHHHH…. I just wanna SQUEEZE HIM🤣🤣🤣🤣
