This is the greatest band of all time.

Rush is my biggest musical influence. I have fought tooth and nail on the drums to even make attempts at covering rush. They are the best to do it. The icing on the cake was getting to see such a monumental performance with the person who introduced me to Rush @katedferg. Love you mom. No band has the thought provoking lyrics, the face melting guitar, the angelic vocals, and the greatest rhythm section of all time. Yet somehow this musical mastery comes from THREE DUDES FROM CANADA. Thank you Rush forever and always. @rush HUGE shoutout to @anika.nilles for filling the biggest shoes ever and absolutely killing it. Neil Peart would be so proud

Also I’ve never cried that much at a concert it was just so beautiful taken in United Center, Chicago Bulls Basketball by @ed_fergu

Hold me forever”

Thank you to everyone who made this year undoubtedly the best year of my life. I felt more as if a decade of my life went by in the span of only 365 days, and I feel decades closer to all of you. I love you all and here’s to many more.

Happy new year ❤️

While I’m here I figured I’d share the irony of the situation. I sat here at the Jefferson Memorial tidal basin and read the excerpts on the walls spoken by our third president. They detail the purposes of our institutions and laws, and how they “ must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind as that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change” (Thomas Jefferson). Yet today, the values of these institutions are all but rotted and distorted. There’s a somber mood as I travel through D.C., and the lack of love and togetherness is ever present. I love this city, and I love each monument as they stand for their individual values, yet I can’t help but feel that the liberties of each have been thrown aside. With the rise of American nationalism, the monuments have been cleaned, protected, and restored, yet the values they uphold have been long forgotten. Here’s hoping, desperately, that my generation can restore those values as well. Have a great thanksgiving everyone.
