✨ Meet Eda, owner of Yirii Dance in Minneapolis, MN!

Eda is all about feeling the music, and you can see it in every movement. When the right song comes on, she absolutely lights up and honestly, if no one else is dancing, she’ll happily be dancing all by herself and we love that about her.

That genuine love for music, movement, and simply enjoying the moment is exactly what we love about Eda.

She reminds us that sometimes the best way to dance is to just feel the music and have fun. ❤️🎶

One week ago, I quietly debuted my solo 🫣

It was something I had been putting off for a good minute, something I wasn’t even sure I was going to do until the day came.

So much of my struggle with this solo was really about my own imposter syndrome, confidence, and self-doubt. The idea of doing a solo terrified me. I wasn’t sure I was capable of getting it done, and honestly, I spent a lot of time questioning myself.

But I got it done.

Was it perfect? No. Is there A LOT for me to improve and work on? Absolutely. But am I proud of myself? Most definitely.

And if I’m being completely honest, I had SO much fun doing it. Probably some of the most fun I’ve ever had on stage.

And I definitely didn’t do this alone.

Thank you to @cris.a.moreno10 for creating an AMAZING choreo that I’ve completely fallen in love with. Thank you to @jdivaa for helping me touch it up, pushing me through it, and crying in the studio with me.

And to my girls who helped me through rehearsals, watched me struggle, listened to me doubt myself, and ultimately got me on that stage, y’all are my RIDERS. I’m so grateful for you.

Now that I’ve done it once, I’m ready to do it again but even better. taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @edakachiri
