A beautiful Art Film I had the pleasure of grading for Jyll Bradley. A touching piece being displayed alongside 2 other short films.
Adding a final touch over the colour and look of the film while grading with such a talented team, credited below, was an extremely enjoyable and expressive experience.

My new film, 'The Meeting' (2025), is premiered as part of my survey show 'Running and Returning' @theboxplymouth. The film has a beautiful score by award winning composer Linda Buckley and is edited by the brilliant Will Martin.

'The Meeting' is the second film in my trilogy about childhood adoption. It follows my first 'M.R' (also showing at The Box), which explored the time when, as a young art student in 1991, I was searching for my birth mother.

'The Meeting' explores my first meeting with my birth mother in 1992 and is filmed in the Palm House, Kew Gardens, the location I chose for this reunion.

Both 'The Meeting' and 'M.R.' use ideas of light, structure, and transparency to express the feeling of being 'inside and outside' at the same time, which is how I describe the adoption experience.

Adoption affects hundreds of thousands of people in the UK yet experiences are rarely voiced in art.

A wonderful team of creatives were involved in making the film. Thank you so much to you all!
