Alchemised appreciation post ❤️‍🔥📚

It has been a month since I finished this incredible, fantastic, soul and heart breaking story that is Alchemised. This book forever altered my brain chemistry and might be one of the few I will be re-reading again and again.

This story portrays the darkest aspects of war. SenLinYu managed to masterfully capture betrayal, war, war crimes and fierce choosing against all odds in a rollercoaster of emotions on little over 1000 pages. This book made me feel sad, angry, hopeful, scared and heartbroken all at the same time.

Writing a story that pulls its reader in the way Alchemised did for me is all I aspire to do/be as a writer. SenLinYu and Alchemised are a huge inspiration for me in that regard.

Helena & Kaine will always have a special place in my heart 💔

I must say, some of these are quite creative and actually funny 😂

That being said, I will fight anyone who hates on these books for no other reason than them being popular. If you disliked these books, fine. But don’t hate the people who actually loved them 🩷

Which of these books have you read? 💅🏼

Back to reading ep 8: build 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 TBR 👏🏻

It starts with one book… Just one book that you decide to save for later. And before you know it, your TBR is growing to astronomical heights the likes of which your family has never seen before…

Happy Threshing Day ❤️‍🔥🐉⚔️

Last fall I wandered into a bookstore looking for inspiration on what to read. I was getting back into reading, having just finished MLWTWB, and wanted something fresh. I had no idea what genres I liked besides historical romance (hello Bridgerton) and non-fiction. The lovely lady in the bookstore showed me Fourth Wing and my life has never been the same.

This series was a gateway drug into fantasy for me. It has showed me that reading can be so much fun if I just pick up a genre that really speaks to me!

Threshing Day is a special kind of book. Because even without reading a single page it instantly brought back the memories of a girl who was figuring out what she liked.

Thank you @rebeccayarros for creating a world where I will forever feel at home 🩷 by @edbrouns

Loved all of these summer reads, but Alchemised and the OUABH trilogy definitely stole the show!!

Cannot wait to read the Alchemised short story Underbelly and the novella of OUABH: The Mirror of Infinite Endings!❤️‍🔥

Back to reading ep 7: give 👏🏻 yourself 👏🏻 permission 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 DNF 👏🏻

Yes, I said DNFing after 5 pages should be illegal. But we’re not talking about that. We’re talking about you refusing to DNF because you’re convinced you have to finish every single book you pick up…

Bestie, put that book down and pick up a new one!

Protect the real data centers. Visit a library. Visit a bookstore. Buy a book. Borrow a book.

Whatever you do, just read a book 🩷

Back to reading ep 6: commit 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 100 👏🏻 pages 👏🏻

Yes, DNFing a book is definitely your right (and more on that in ep 7)… And yet sometimes you just have to stick it out for a couple of pages before you and your book part ways!
