Spider Man也會有沮喪絕望的時刻，更何況平凡如我的普通人。文章有點長，懶得看的可以直接跳到最後一段，今天是Orientation第一天，睡不太著來發文。

I’ve been through the toughest period of my life in the past few months. I was struggling with pain, self-doubt, agitation, and irrational thoughts. I had an emotional crash during my Master’s application period, and even some shxt stuffs hit me in the middle of the year. I just didn’t look as blithe as I might have seemed.

Thanks to all my friends who still stood beside me. Especially @angelll1101 , @ray_kobefan , @fang_wei_14 , @thisiscrosby , @richard_yeh__ , @lzyoo_ , 興隆會的buddies, @cheng0412_ , Ching, yy, 霍, Fefe, and those who kept supporting me but aren’t listed here.

I can’t tell how successful I’ll be in the future, even now that I’m at Carnegie. I’ll probably still struggle with coursework, job-searching, and endless comparisons with peers. But I do know I’ll remember every step I’ve taken and every challenge I’ve crossed. Step by step, straight to the top. And I’ll never forget the people who have helped me along the way.

I met a lot of people this year, even during the military service, I met someone I still keep in touch today. I feel deeply grateful for the gifts life has given me. Sometimes I feel detached from many of my friends cause I need space to talk to myself. There are questions I still can’t answer, but I’m doing my best to become a better version of myself. If my straightforward words have ever hurt my friends, please forgive my stubbornness, childishness, and arrogance.

感謝所有接收我的負面情緒的朋友，珍惜所有願意跟我一起狂歡的朋友。謝謝一路上始終如一支持我的人，還有來送機的各位，我是真的沒有想到有這麼多人來😭。最後，雖然我跟台北的各位相隔幾萬公里，但我會想念你們的。

Now I’m in Pittsburgh, so far so good (maybe a little bit boring). I miss all my friends in Taipei. (And I desperately want to go back to Ruff🤣 by @edc1hsu
