Our journey at Ke Kilohana included creative marketing, professional video production, consistent exposure, and a strategic price adjustment along the way.

One of our marketing videos, produced by our friends at @inhaus.studios, generated thousands of views which we loved. But as we know, views alone don’t sell homes.

It takes the right combination of marketing, pricing, patience, and persistence.

After 93 days on the market, the right buyer came along.

The result? SOLD.

A meaningful afternoon supporting a meaningful mission. 🏡🧡

It was great attending the Hawaiʻi HomeOwnership Center’s Welcome Home Fundraiser Luncheon and seeing so many friends, colleagues, and community partners come together in support of homeownership in Hawaiʻi.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with HHOC alongside my own buyer clients, so I’ve seen firsthand the difference their guidance, education, and support can make—especially for first-time homebuyers navigating the path toward homeownership.

What a special afternoon at Kahuku Farms. 🌿

Margaret and I were invited to experience the launch of the new Aloha ʻĀina Legends Walking Tour, led by our good friend Kawehi Lindsey — and we were fortunate enough to be part of her inaugural tour.

Through stories, legends, music, chants, tastings, and hands-on experiences, Kawehi shared the history of Kahuku, the story of the farm, and the wisdom passed down by those who came before us.

Along the way, we had the opportunity to sample and learn more about some of what grows from the ʻāina — kalo, ʻulu, apple banana, sugar cane, noni, and açaí. 🌱🍌

Each stop gave us a deeper appreciation for the land, the food it provides, and the generations whose stories are rooted here.

Kahuku Farms is so lucky to have Kawehi, and we were grateful to experience this very first tour with her. 💚

Aloha Friday with one of Honolulu’s most recognizable landmarks. 🌺

Standing watch over the harbor since 1926, Aloha Tower was once the tallest building in Hawaiʻi—and for generations, one of the first sights welcoming people to Honolulu.

Almost 100 years later, it’s still hard to imagine our waterfront without it.

CLOSED at Ulana Ward Village 🏡

But this wasn’t an ordinary resale.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of helping my buyer close on a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 2-parking residence — well below the lender’s appraisal and at a price significantly below what a comparable unrestricted market residence could potentially command.

What makes this story even more interesting is how the home became available.

The residence was originally purchased through Ulana’s Reserved Housing program. After the original owner decided to sell, it eventually went through the buyback process and was purchased by HHOC Housing & Land Trust.

HHOC then placed the residence back on the market, creating another opportunity for an eligible buyer to become an Ulana homeowner.

My buyer was able to purchase the home with a 5-year regulated term.

This transaction is a great example of the next chapter beginning to unfold at Ulana.

Some original residences may come back through the Reserved Housing buyback process and become available again to qualified buyers. Over time, other residences will complete their applicable regulated terms and eventually enter the conventional resale market.

There is still a lot of confusion surrounding how these different scenarios work — for owners, buyers and even within the real estate community.

That’s why I’m launching a new series:

UNDERSTANDING ULANA

Resales. Buybacks. Regulated terms. Future market sales.

My goal is simply to help Ulana owners and prospective buyers better understand their options as this unique community moves into its next chapter.
