Shot this doritos commercial for the awesome director Julian Pugsley. The INCREDIBLE creative director team of Tescia Deak + Anne Stesney. Great producer: Stacie Towle. And gaffer Rick Baum + grip Ivan McCartney + AC Logan Quarles all did amazing. Nothing gets that rich saturated skintones like a set of Super Baltars, especially the red channel, part of the reason I chose them because wow a bag of doritos needs it with that rich firehouse red. by @eddavid_dp

This was a special project I lensed for @johnx.carey with @clairpopkin as the b cam op who is now extremely "crushing it". Also as a fun fact this project had extremely successful and famous comedian Nick Mullen as the PA living in the cube truck. And of course John who is so extremely talented and amazing as a person. I found this one up again because I was using as an example of doing veritee with prime lenses - with two cameras, using primes can work and it definitely gives a different feeling than just heavier zoom lenses, how small the camera can be and more intimate and lighter. These were Leica R lenses that not as many people are into these days, but I am rediscovering their beauty. We lit the rehearsal space with 4k hmi's into ultra bounce , and on the stage we used a giant 12x12 grid on stage right to help soften the stage lighting when we could. by @eddavid_dp

this is going to sound really dorky but this photo I just took on my iPhone 12, which I think has a much richer color than the newer iPhone 16 or 17 Just like an all digital tech, something is getting lost as we progress in technology. by @eddavid_dp

Using the new #djimavic4 pro in Maine by acadia mountain for an upcoming doc with it's dual ISO secret sauce setting. You go to auto iso and can set exposure via the EV to -3 or whatever in DJI log-m (doesn't work in log) and it's engaging in dual ISO recording which is pretty remarkable for sunsets and other challenging shooting conditions. Effectively this pushes the camera's dynamic range into Alexa territory which is scary and amazing and it's a shame you can't buy this camera in the USA but alas, what can you do friends. thank you to @dji #framez #mavic4pro #dji #dronephotography by @eddavid_dp

MR & MRS MURDER, a 4-part documentary swamp noir, is coming to @hulu on 7/30.

Northwell Health TVC. Came out really well. I love working with kids and Christina is an amazing director as well. A lot of great energy on this one from the crew and the kids! Shot on the Alexa 35 with Super Baltars. The new star of the show was the @aputure1200x light. Used on almost every setup to recreate the sun.
