I’m Eddie Dadisho, your @liberalvic Party candidate for the seat of Kalkallo.

My campaign focuses on three priorities: better roads, more police and lower taxes.

A FRESH START FOR KALKALLO.

I’m Eddie Dadisho, your local @liberalvic Party candidate for the seat of Kalkallo.

As a #Wallan resident with a background in law, finance and community service, I understand the importance of strong local representation.

Our growing communities from Wallan down to #Craigieburn face serious challenges — congested roads, pressure on essential services, community safety concerns and rising living costs. All as a result of a Labor government that has neglected its communities for years.

My campaign focuses on three clear priorities:

🚧 Better roads and infrastructure, including the Liberal Party’s $524 million commitment to duplicate #Donnybrook Road.

👮 Safer communities, with more police and improved local policing services.

🏠 Cost-of-living relief, including proposed changes to state taxes and charges.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll continue setting out my position on these issues, listening to the communities for other challenges you are facing, explaining the Liberal Party’s commitments and outlining what they would mean for the suburbs across Kalkallo.

🚀 The election is getting closer, and it's been an exciting few months on the campaign trail.

From Wallan to Craigieburn, I've been out in the community listening to residents, hearing your concerns, and working on practical solutions to make Kalkallo a safer, stronger, and more connected place to live.

Here are the key issues I'm hearing and what we're fighting for:

✅ Safer Communities-Crime continues to be one of the biggest concerns across our electorate. That's why we're pushing to return Craigieburn Police Station to 24/7 operation, increase police presence in our suburbs, and advocate for additional police stations where they are needed most.

✅ Fixing Traffic Congestion-Our growing communities deserve better. We've already secured a commitment for a $524 million investment to duplicate Donnybrook Road, with more congestion-busting initiatives to come. You should be spending time with your family, not sitting in traffic.

✅ Better Public Transport-Residents are telling me loud and clear that overcrowding, limited services, and safety concerns on public transport need to be addressed. I'm committed to exploring a future train station for Beveridge and advocating for improved transport infrastructure. A Liberal Government will also deploy 200 additional PSOs and restore PSOs to every metropolitan train station to improve safety for commuters.

✅ Improving Healthcare Access-Too many local families struggle to access the healthcare they need close to home. Rapid population growth has outpaced essential services, leaving many communities with GP shortages, limited after-hours care, and overstretched hospitals. We are advocating to fully staff and operationalise the Craigieburn Community Hospital, reduce pressure on Northern Hospital, utilise available private hospital capacity, and ensure outer suburban communities receive their fair share of health infrastructure investment.

✅ Investing in Education-We want every child to have the opportunity to succeed. Our plan includes a Literacy and Numeracy Guarantee, new Technical Colleges to help address skills shortages, and support for new select-entry schools, including in Craigieburn.

Hiring and training the next generation of tradies shouldn’t be out of reach for local small businesses.

To tackle the skills shortage and back our local workforce, the Victorian Liberal Party has announced a major commitment to cover half of eligible apprenticeship training costs.

This initiative is a massive win for the seat of Kalkallo, where so many hardworking families and small business owners live and work. By cutting these training costs in half, we are:

Supporting local employers to scale up and take on new apprentices without the financial strain.
Opening doors for young Victorians with direct pathways into secure, well-paid, and rewarding careers.

Victorians deserve to feel safe in their homes, on public transport, and on our streets. The Victorian Liberal and Nationals Coalition has announced a comprehensive $100 million Safer Communities Plan to tackle crime and restore frontline policing.

As part of our commitment to building safer communities across our suburbs of Kalkallo, we are pledging a targeted, proactive approach to local policing:
✅ 24/7 Frontline Access: We will fully restore Craigieburn Police Station to 24/7 operations, ensuring round-the-clock safety and visibility.
✅ Strategic Infrastructure: We will continue to lobby for the construction of permanent, dedicated police stations across our expanding northern suburbs.
✅ Resource Allocation: We are committed to securing our community’s share of the Liberal Party's major policing boosts to ensure frontline officers are deployed precisely where they are needed.

Here is exactly what a Liberal Government will deliver across Victoria:
🔹 More Police on the Beat: Start recruiting 3,000 additional Victoria Police officers within our first 100 days.
🔹 Reopening Local Stations: Reopen more than 40 police stations currently closed or on reduced hours.
🔹 Tougher Laws for Offenders: Implementing a strict "Break Bail, Face Jail" rule for repeat offenders, and ensuring young offenders who commit violent adult crimes face adult court.
🔹 Safer Public Spaces: Introducing Jack’s Law to give police metal-detecting wands to get knives off our streets, and expanding Protective Services Officers (PSOs) across the train network.
🔹 Youth Intervention: Breaking the cycle of crime with Restart residential discipline camps and Youthstart early-intervention programs.
