Inspired by the charm of historic towns, village greens and the magic of Christmases past, Main Street Merriments is a collection of heirloom-quality ornaments made to be cherished for generations. So incredible to see them at Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly. ❤️🎄

It was such an honor to collaborate with @eddieross for still photography of his edit with @spoonflower and @vietriinc photographed at the bucolic Main Line property of @psanddaughters. Eddie is not only a master of styling and good taste, but also such a fun and joyful human. I absolutely love how he transformed the carriage house entry with new wallpaper and a fantastic wall plate display. And three cheers for the paint splattered floor! There’s nothing he can’t do! 📷@janebeilesphoto taken in Wayne, Pennsylvania by @eddieross

Designer @eddieross built a layered, welcoming foyer inspired by @vietriinc’s wildlife collection, using a single beloved object to spark the entire palette. @spoonflower Grasscloth wallpaper and linens wrap the space in chartreuse, warm woods and playful patterns, bringing his signature color and charm to life.

Back to school laundry tips from your decorator. While this gilded age estate has a formality to it, the family of 5 is very playful and relaxed. Our client mentioned their previous home had purple cabinetry which he loved so we chose Farrow and Ball Pelt for the custom millwork as a bit of nostalgia. The rest of the room references some of my favorite places that are both fun and stylish. The green backsplash and black and white tile floor were inspired by The Polo Bar, but we opted for a zellige backsplash here which makes it more casual and organic while the basketweave flooring still keeps it traditional. The wallpaper mural on the opposite wall introduces whimsy and is reminiscent of Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle. The ceramic animals on the wall were sourced at Liberty of London (always my first stop when shopping in London!) and I discovered the two dapper and sporty foxes at a local art fair here in Chestnut Hill. Adding decorative elements and artwork to your laundry room is a great way to make it feel like a place where you’re happy to spend time. And speaking of time, an analog clock is a great way to keep your eye on it. Now back to work! PS: if you’re still reading and were actually looking for laundry tips, Gwen Whiting’s stain stick from @thefillclub is my magic weapon!!! by @eddieross

The Provenance.
Unlike The Find — which is all about hunting for value — this one is about the pieces I’ve collected simply because I couldn’t leave them behind. The ones with a story. The ones that took a little digging, a discerning eye, and (if I’m honest) an unreasonable amount of joy in the chase.

I’ll admit my oyster plate education started decades ago, curled up with a stack of Martha Stewart Living magazines. @marthastewart collected them long before it was a “thing,” and something about that stuck with me.

I found this French oyster plate while treasure hunting with @eddieross in a packed little antique shop in Southwest England — barely any room to move, treasures everywhere you looked. It was gorgeous. It was also shockingly inexpensive. That combination — beauty and value and the thrill of finding it before anyone else did — is the whole reason I do this.

More Provenance pieces coming soon. Turn it over, always.

Gathered with intention. Shared with joy.

Formal homes don’t need to be formal. The painterly windowpane pattern on the shades which we previously showcased on the landing adds an air of whimsy. While there is a separate side entrance and mudroom, this distinguished yet understated coat tree in the main entrance provides guests a place to hang their hat when the staff has the day off. 😉

A sideboard made for the manor house!

If you want to be on the inside joke between my client and I here- I had hastily purchased this antique sideboard for my own dining room when we were hosting our first Thanksgiving. Unfortunately the scale was too grand for our 19th-century gatehouse, a former coachman’s cottage built at the entrance to the estate beyond. When my mother in law saw the piece, her eyebrows arched in scrutiny. “Well, that certainly was made for the manor house.” Fast forward another holiday season approached and a client was hosting a Christmas party. He lamented that his mid-century modern buffet that had come from his previous home was too low for this space— serendipitously I had just been in touch with the auction house from where I purchased this one and they had agreed to resell it. I already had the movers lined up so they delivered it to my client’s home instead and voila! The party was a hit and now this handsome piece lives in a proper manor home where it can truly shine.

The Louis Phillippe mirror also came from our favorite hometown auction house @kamelotauctions, the foliage was foraged by our favorite local stylist @eddieross, and the wallpaper was inspired by the mature trees that envelope this special property. 💚
