Tomorrow evening a group of artists, performers and Djs will come together in solidarity with the people of Palestine 🇵🇸

Doors open at 8pm and I have the immense privilege of Djing the opening set along with @djeleanora as our collective, @lapapayaclub
Funds will be donated to @jewishvoiceforpeace and @thepcrf 🍉

I have a lot to I want to say about this, but my thoughts are not important. I’ll leave these words, written by Palestinian poet Fadwa Tuqan

From Colombia’s Pacific coast to Riverside 🇨🇴 @patacoree brings the marimba, drums, voices and traditions of the Pacífico Colombiano to Mucho Gusto.

For this special performance, they’ll be joined by IE’s own @milpamusica, creating a musical bridge between Colombia and the IE ⚡️

Catch them at 6pm on the Más Fun Stage 🌴🇨🇴🪘

Spent the weekend with Patacoré as Milpa backed them for their first LA shows. 🇨🇴
Lots of music, history, religion, spirituality, and late-night conversations about the things carried through rhythm. 🪘 🌊

Viche is an ancestral sugarcane spirit from Colombia’s Pacific coast, traditionally made by Afro-Colombian communities. 😋

These piñatas were built by @aguatl and I on a hot summer night in San Bernardino. They were decorated by a the community at the @thegarciacenterforthearts
Every year they need to be retouched and repaired. Lots of love. Maybe we will break them to fundraise for MG5 👀

Craziest year of my life. Drumming, dancing, dad, making music, throwing shows, working, traveling, trying to keep up with everything.

I think I’m still processing it. Still in it.

And somehow it’s Mucho Gusto time again.

Year four. A lot of work, a lot of people, a lot of love has gone into getting this thing here.
