The energy at @smokefestival was incredible.

The amount of artists who came up and shared stories about how Nero has helped them in one way or another blew my mind.

This weekend we gave away $24,000 to artists through the newly established Nero Artist Fund.

Inspired by Patagonia’s Holdfast Collective, the Artist Fund is designed to help build a more equitable and sustainable music economy.

Through the Fund, a portion of our profits will go back to emerging artists in our community.

Between AI, streaming fraud, the loss of grassroots venues & the rising cost of just being alive—it’s becoming harder than ever for artists to make a living doing what they love.

But the only answer is to keep going, and hopefully this fund makes it a little easier to do just that.

Thank you to the @whatsnero family.

Community is beautiful.
Life is beautiful.
Music is beautiful.

Artist discovery isn’t dead, it’s evolving.

Back in March, we flew six artists down to SXSW.

All of them were discovered on a @whatsnero stream by @vicmensa — highlighting how organic discovery is alive and well.
