My goal has always been seeing how close I could get to a full bodied orchestral experience using only the two violins i grew up playing, tuning down some for mid and lower strings. Tried a ton of mics, positionings, and playstyles, most which failed miserably, but recently I think it’s the closest I’ve ever gotten! Couldn’t believe it was even possible doing this in a bedroom a year ago! You can fail a million times over but sometimes the next try could really work. Moving into a new place soon so hopefully the room sounds even better! by @eddyorbis

New song ‘egdon heath’ is out! As the year rounded out, thought I’d put together some 2025 movie suggestions from ones I liked on the big screen, mostly new but also some old ones I’ve seen before. I tried to whittle it down to 70. I won’t be able to see as many this year so if something good pops up I’ll try to help spread the word. If you see anything you like, make sure to rent them or catch them while they’re still out. Cheers!

‘Beloved’ is out 💙 wrote/recorded the piano part at my friend Aric’s place while he was away, then did violin/viola/ a little guitar later on. I feel like I’ve been improving how I record my violin recently so hopefully it continues! Also had a lot of fun with the artwork on this one by @eddyorbis

‘Will of the Wisp’ is coming out soon! I had to take time away to challenge myself with developing a larger fuller orchestra while using what I had available, which was a couple violins and a piano. I created diy techniques for recording I’ve never seen done before, and I can’t wait to take it further. Never be afraid to explore your own wilderness, because trust me, it will inspire and excite your appetite for wonder in ways you could never imagine

Unity in the world,

Eddy

Huge congrats to @will.paquin on his new ep “Infinite Jest” produced by @aso.wav . Wills got good green earth running through him and it’s been a real pleasure to be in his greenhouse to help contribute violin parts for Pea’s theme and Axle 💙🪲 by @eddyorbis
