Why the Fuse moves so smoothly.

Inside, a big wheel makes contact with the rope and moves with it. A centrifugal clutch in the wheel activates at a set speed. The difference: the activation unit (the wheel) and the blocking unit (the cam) are separated from each other.

The result is a simple, robust design that is less prone to errors and allows an unprecedented ease of movement on the rope.

Can i continue using the FUSE after a Fall?

After a fall, the Fuse can be used again if a PPE inspector detects no relevant damage, cracks or deformation and all functions still work. Only the shock absorber needs to be replaced.

How to use your EDELRID FUSE.

Open it without detaching from your harness: bend away the lever arm, press the button, swing it open.

Insert the rope into the rope channel and close the device. Mind the position of the attachment point.

Choose your mode with the green button: locking mode (moves up, blocks down) or free mode (moves in both directions, toothless cam activates if you accelerate downwards too quickly).

Always do a quick function check before use.
