WOW WOW WOW

This fabulous @carolynsalas limited edition table top trivet is now in HAND 🙌
DM or contact krysta@edereditions.com for more info

Carolyn Salas pieces explore the relationship between the body, architecture and language. Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, she uses industrial and raw objects — including plaster, cement, ceramics, steel— with found objects.

The tile in this piece reveals fragments- a leg, a hand mid-gesture, stairs, undulating forms- at once parts and whole, delicate but hardened and permanent.

@carolyn.salas pieces explore the relationship between the body, architecture and language. Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, she uses industrial and raw objects — including plaster, cement, ceramics, steel— with found objects.

The ceramics in the presentation reveal a fragment of a leg, a hand mid-gesture, stairs and undulating forms, at once delicate but set in this hardened and permanent state.

Interested in the history of a found object and the passage of time embedded within the material ,Salas uses the casting process to show the narrative language that the material holds. The objects created engage the relational and associative possibilities embedded in medium, architecture, our bodies, selfhood, and place.

In this new series of paintings, @iamfabian.nyc explores clay as a canvas to create a more sculptural works.

“ It allows for the work to feel more mysterious and the rich pigments have more striking visual effects which is what I love coming from a design background, you feel an irresistible desire to touch them” Bernal says of his practice.
