I used to train hard every day and still feel like I wasn’t getting better.

Turns out—it wasn’t my training.

It was my nutrition.

🚨 FREE GIVEAWAY — 3 HOCKEY PLAYERS 🏒

I’m giving 3 hockey players my new EP In-Season Fueling System completely FREE — plus 2 weeks of 1-on-1 nutrition coaching with me.

This is the resource I wish I had when I was 18 playing junior hockey.

I went from 180 lbs in September → 168 lbs by February.

My energy dropped.
My performance dropped.
My recovery suffered.
And eventually, I started getting scratched from the lineup.

The worst part?

I thought the solution was to work harder.

I trained more. Slept less. And kept digging myself into a deeper hole.

That experience is a huge reason I created this system.

The EP In-Season Fueling System takes the guesswork out of nutrition by building everything around YOUR schedule, YOUR goals, and foods YOU actually enjoy eating.

🏒 Practice-day fueling
🏒 Game-day fueling
🍚 Meals + snacks
🛒 Personalized grocery list
⏰ Exactly when to eat
🚌 School + travel options
📈 Body-weight management

You focus on becoming a better hockey player. I’ll simplify the nutrition.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Follow @EdgedPerformance
2. Like this post
3. DM me “FUEL”

I’ll be selecting 3 hockey players to receive their entire personalized system FREE + 2 weeks of coaching with me.

Don’t wait until your performance starts declining to take your nutrition seriously.

Oliver’s offseason wasn’t about eating less.

It was about learning how to fuel better.

Over the course of the offseason, Oliver dropped nearly 10 percentage points of body fat while actually increasing his carbohydrate and protein intake — and the results went far beyond body composition.

More energy.
A more powerful first step.
Better habits.
More consistency with sleep and recovery.
And most importantly, a better understanding of what his body needs to perform.

What impressed me most was his determination. Trips, weekends at the lake, busy schedules — he learned how to adjust instead of letting one imperfect day turn into an imperfect week.

As Oliver put it:

“I think the coolest thing is just being able to look back and see all the days and weeks stacked together. All the tracking, workouts, and skates to get me to the place I am now.”

Now he’s taking the next step from high school hockey to Sioux Falls Power 18U, where a roughly 30-game high school schedule turns into a season approaching 80 games.

The demands are going up — but so is his understanding of how to fuel, recover, and take care of himself.

This is what Edged Performance is about.

Not starving hockey players to get leaner.

Fueling them properly so they can change their body composition without sacrificing their performance.

Proud of the work you put in, Oliver. Now go have a big year. 🤝🏒 by @edgedperformance

What does it actually take to fuel at the WHL level? 🏒

Coming off a WHL Championship run that stretched into June, Hunter Rudolph had a short window to recover, rebuild, and prepare his body to do it all over again.

And despite already competing at an elite level, we identified one major opportunity:

He wasn’t fueling enough to match what his body was being asked to do.

Hunter was skating, lifting, recovering, and intentionally trying to add quality size—but was consistently falling short of his energy demands.

And like a lot of young hockey players, his previous approach was simple:

“I was just trying to eat anything to gain weight.”

This summer wasn’t about telling Hunter to just eat more.

It was about teaching him how to fuel with purpose.

⚡ Enough total energy to support the workload
🍚 Carbohydrates to fuel performance and replenish glycogen
🥩 Protein to support repair and muscle growth
🥑 Fats strategically balanced within his overall intake
💧 Hydration
😴 Recovery and sleep
🍱 And most importantly—learning how to make it all CONSISTENT

Because at the WHL level, talent is everywhere.

As Hunter put it:

“Everyone is so good and the little things are definitely a game changer. You want to get any slight edge you can get on your opponents.”

That’s what this summer was about.

Not creating the “perfect diet.”

Creating habits Hunter can take back to Everett and rely on through practices, travel, lifts, games, and the grind of another long season.

Hunter is already competing where thousands of young hockey players are trying to get.

And one of his biggest takeaways?

You don’t have to wait until you reach the next level to start taking care of your body like you belong there.

Proud of the work you put in this summer, Hunter. Now go have a year. 🤝

An injury can take away your ability to train. It doesn’t have to take away your ability to improve.

When Ben had shoulder surgery, the first half of his summer looked completely different than he planned.

He couldn’t train normally.
He couldn’t skate.
He was going through rehab.

So instead of focusing on everything he couldn’t control, we focused on something he could:

His nutrition.

Over the next 4 weeks, Ben learned how to eat enough, make better food choices, understand what his body actually needed, and build habits he could carry with him long after our coaching ended.

The result?

+7 pounds while rehabbing his shoulder.

But to me, the number on the scale is only part of the story.

More energy throughout the day.
Better fueling habits.
More confidence in his nutrition.
A better understanding of what his body needs to perform.
And now, as he gets back on the ice, he feels better prepared for the season ahead.

Ben told me:

“I’ve always worked hard on the weights and skating portion but never really got in depth with my nutrition.”

That’s the part so many hockey players overlook.

You can work incredibly hard in the gym.
You can skate every day.
You can do all the extra training.

But what you do during the other 22+ hours of your day matters too.

Nutrition. Recovery. Sleep. Consistency.

Ben could’ve looked at this summer as lost time.

Instead, he used it as an opportunity to attack an area of his game he had never truly prioritized before.

And when I asked him if he’d do it again?

“Looking back on it, I would do it again ten out of ten times.”

Proud of you, Ben. This is only the beginning. 🤝

Recovery isn’t waiting. Recovery is preparation.

Nutrition is the advantage you can control. by @edgedperformance

3 meals. 15 minutes of prep. Hours of better performance. 🏒

Every morning I skate, head straight to work, and don’t have time to wonder what I’m going to eat afterward.

So I prep these post-skate macro bowls ahead of time.

Each one is built with:
🥩 Protein → support muscle growth & recovery
🍚 Carbs → refill muscle glycogen after training
🥑 Healthy fats → make it easier to hit my calorie goals

Nothing fancy.

Just consistent fueling that helps me recover, perform, and keep building lean muscle throughout the summer.

Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated.

It just has to be consistent.

What’s your go-to post-workout meal? 👇

Protein doesn’t fuel hockey…
…the way you’ve been told….👀

… hear me out.

Protein is essential for:
✅ Building muscle
✅ Repairing muscle
✅ Recovery

But when it comes to high-intensity skating, explosive shifts, and having energy late in games… carbohydrates are your body’s primary fuel source.

Too many hockey players are obsessed with hitting their protein goal while completely overlooking the nutrient that helps replenish glycogen and prepares them for tomorrow’s practice or game.

That’s why I tell every athlete I work with:

🥩 Protein helps you recover from today’s workout.
🍚 Carbohydrates prepare you for tomorrow’s performance.

If your legs constantly feel heavy…
If you lose your jump late in games…
Or you feel like you’re doing everything right but still don’t have another gear…

Your nutrition might be the missing piece.

👇 DM FUEL or hit “free nutrition report” link in bio and I’ll send you my FREE Hockey Nutrition Report, where I’ll help you identify what’s holding your performance back and give you a personalized game plan.

Tag a teammate who’s still scared of carbs. 🏒⚡

There are a lot of hockey players who train hard.

Far fewer actually fuel hard.

Jack was already doing a lot of things right. He trained consistently, cared about his development, and wanted to improve.

What he didn’t realize was that he was eating nearly 1,000 calories below what his body actually needed every day.

That changed everything.

Over the course of working together, Jack improved his energy, built lean muscle, lowered his body fat percentage, stayed more consistent, and most importantly…

Earned the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Division I level.

His success wasn’t built from one meal or one week.

It came from understanding how to fuel his body consistently and creating habits that actually fit his life.

Thank you, Jack, for trusting me throughout the process and for the incredible words. I’m excited to keep watching your career grow.

If you’re a hockey player who’s serious about taking your performance to the next level, I offer every athlete a FREE Nutrition Report where I’ll break down exactly what’s holding you back and what to focus on next.

Comment “REPORT” or hit the link in my bio and let’s get to work.

Colton Rambousek

When Colton first reached out, he was skating almost every day but couldn’t figure out why the scale wasn’t moving.

The problem wasn’t effort.

It wasn’t training.

It was fuel.

Over the course of our time working together, we focused on:
✅ Consistent meals
✅ Quality calories
✅ Better recovery habits
✅ Learning how to fuel for performance

The result?

📈 +4 pounds gained
⚡ More energy
💪 Better gym performance
🔄 Faster recovery
🏒 Improved performance on the ice

The biggest lesson wasn’t some secret supplement or complicated diet.

It was learning that small habits, repeated consistently, create massive results over time.

Proud of the work Colton put in and excited to see what he accomplishes with the Sioux Falls Power this season.

If you’re a hockey player who wants to gain weight, improve performance, or simply learn how to fuel your body the right way, I’m offering FREE Nutrition Reports right now.
