i haven’t had a second to finally sit down and let it all sink in till now. at the beginning of this month i dropped my second collab with @asics_sportstyle_au and @footlocker_au . words can’t express the gratitude i feel to the gang for letting me run the ball again! the support and love i received from this release was amazing. i’m not one to show much vulnerability but as most of you know i keep myself pretty private so stepping out of my comfort zone and showing my face was a big step so thank you for easing me in. i worked on this shoe and project for a year and when i say i had both new comers and alpha collectors alike in mind when coming up with this colourway i mean it. my goal with the colours was to create something that everybody can enjoy. i focused on longevity and physical appeal with this one. i chose to go with darker gels since you can ask any collector their pet peeve of the gels is the yellowing that occurs overtime with light gels. i always love a good fade on any shoe, so i threw in a fade in the logo for good measure. i like how it almost melts into itself and almost makes the shoe and logo become one cohesive item instead of 2 different layers. i went with a bone upper to compliment the two distinct colour each shoe has which makes it a nice neutral ground for the colours to meet, plus it’s a colour that newcomers can gravitate to that won’t seem too out there. the reason i went with green and red was because my original concept for this shoe was to have them based off the japanese deities raijin and fujin. plus i wanted to come up with a solid red and green based colourway as i’ve always noticed these colours always get overlooked and wanted to bring some love and attention to the use of these colours in shoes. thank you to everyone who has supported my ventures and shown love along the way. you will truly never understand how much it means to me. to my younger self; the one who grew up in the area who wasn’t sure how their future was going to turn out; it all turned out okay. thank you all again. taken in Sydney, Australia by @edgilj

Speechless. To think that a few years back people were telling me that ASICS just weren’t it, to being given the chance to prove to them that they are. Today my collab with @asics_sportstyle_au and @footlocker_au came out on the ASICS gel quantum 360 VII. I didn’t know what to expect of this and if I’m going to be honest I thought tall poppy syndrome was going to be prevalent throughout the internet. But what happened was the complete opposite. Both stranger and friend, inner circle to acquaintences have been nothing but proud of me for this achievement. The absolute love and support I’ve felt from everyone has been overwhelming and I am so so thankful that I am associated with the circles and cultures that I am in. I just wanted to say thank you to every last one of you and if I could’ve done it individually I would’ve but my social battery is depleted till further notice. This is hopefully just the beginning. I come from extremely humble beginnings, I have never been given a hand out or a leg up, I have spent countless days and nights working to get to this place so to finally be here at a peak in life feels surreal but alas I can see the next mountain. ASICS Gel Kayano 20 x @sneakerlah ‘Ais Kacang’. Unreleased. i am a huge fan of these. bright, poppy and thoughtfully curated colours! i’ll be honest i’ve never been a fan of draw string laces; the stringiness never has the same impact as a normal lace which is why i changed them over. there are a lot of tiny references in this shoe that goes over my head but nonetheless it’s a strong summer shoe and i’ll definitely have these in my rotation! these will drop as a Malaysia exclusive, im not sure when but hopefully soon! massive shouts to my bro @kayanocartel for the link up on these the man truly has the access before any of us! what do you think? . . . . . #sneaker #review #asics @asics_sportstyle_au @asics @sneakerfreakermag taken in Sydney, Australia by @edgilj
