⚡️I can’t even begin to express how honored and thrilled I am to be part of this beautiful tour. It feels just right that the electric reverence and collective grief and joy we experienced at @redrocksco this summer is going to roll its magical way across this country (and beyond 🇨🇦) — right when we need it most. @andreagibson and @meganfalley are a dream team - always were; always will be. This show is an embodiment of the extraordinary connection between these two visionary artists, and the loving and life-affirming ripple effect that continues to echo out from it. Flashback Flursday to 2023's "Broad Strokes" music video, shot in November of 2022 and directed by Gabriel Jacobson. From the album "Smilin' At The Future".

"Broad Strokes" was written in response to a not-so-glowing review of my music. "He has a good voice, but I just don't care about his songs because they're all about him."

So I wrote a song about a painter who has obviously developed her craft and has talent - but because she isn't financially successful with it, she sees herself as a failure.

See? It's not about me at all.

I wrote the second verse as a quote from the artist and I had the pretty solid idea to have my sister-mentor @ediecarey sing it for me.

Here we are lip syncing to ourselves at what appears to be a high school gymnasium, waiting to pick up our kids.

✨10/3 Returning to the wonderful @eopresents at Red Clay in Duluth, GA (just north of Atlanta)
✨11/7 A beautiful garden concert in Sherman Oaks, CA
✨11/10 A delicious dinnah + a show at the lovely @tippleandrose
in Princeton, NJ (my dad’s hometown)
✨11/12 Singing at the decidedly un-badass (but delightfully geriatric) hour of 6:30pm at one of the badassest clubs ever @thebitterendnyc
✨ 11/13 Performing at the elegant Stissing Center in Pine Plains, NY for the first time
✨ 11/14 Having @meganburtt as my super-extra-special-guest at @clubpassim in Cambridge, MA - and getting to watch everyone fall in love with her incredible songs
✨11/15 Sharing a co-bill with @meganburtt in Rockport, MA at @oldslooppresents the very next night
✨12/5 My first show (a warm and cozy house concert hosted by my friend @bradyoder in Pittsburgh, PA in so many years I can’t count
✨12/6 Returning to NPR’s @mountainstage in Charleston, WV and getting to meet Kathy Mattea 😍
