Hello. Welcome to my Instagram. My name is Edi Go, I was born and raised in Sumatra, Indonesia. My journey as a photographer has taken me across continents, allowing me to explore the world through the lens of my camera.

For seven unforgettable years, I explored the world as a portrait photographer with Princess Cruises. This incredible voyage allowed me to travel the world, connect with diverse people, capturing their unique stories and emotions through my lens.

As the world faced the challenges of the pandemic, I embarked on a new chapter, embracing an independent photography career. My passion knows no bounds, spanning various genres, such as portraits, weddings, food and real estate.

Since last year, I relocated to Bali, a place where diverse cultures and artistic influences converge. In Bali's vibrant energy, I'm excited to create art that resonates with the world.

Thank you for considering to be a part of this intimate journey through my lens, where stories are told, emotions are felt, and the essence of life is illuminated one frame at a time.

Feel free to dm me for any questions!

Michel and Mylene just got engaged after 15 years together. They wanted to have a session for this special moment and they never had this done before.

It’s very rare to have a couple like Michel and Mylene. No makeup, no fancy outfits, no accessories, no props… just their emotions. As a classic portrait photographer, and I couldn’t be happier when my subjects give me all of their emotions to capture. No distractions from other things, it’s only their love, connection, and chemistry.

Every pose didn’t feel posed. Every look had its own soul. They simply poured their hearts and souls in my direction.

Most of the time, I work with a videographer during a session. Our routine is to take turns directing or shooting, and when we can do it together, I usually focus on candids. But this time, I worked alone. It was faster, and the flow felt much smoother.

Day 8: Larke Pass, the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit at 5,106m. It was a tough day crossing melting ice and snow, with lots of hollow ice and slippery sections. Every step required extra attention.

Going down to Bhimtang was even harder than reaching the pass itself. I didn’t even think of taking any videos that day. I was too busy trying not to fall and making sure I got down safely. Looking back, definitely one of the most challenging days of the trek.

Trip : 15-24 May 2026

Cho La Pass was probably the highlight of my EBC trek in Nepal. Originally, there were three of us, but my friends cancelled, so I ended up continuing towards Gokyo Ri with just one guide. The thick snow and trekking through snow covered trails made this part of the journey unforgettable.

I still remember my flu and cough getting worse before crossing Cho La Pass, but I pushed through anyway. It was one of the toughest yet most rewarding experiences of the trip. Definitely one of those moments that stays with you long after the trek is over.

Found a nice footage from my EBC trek last year. This is on the way to Cho La Pass. How I miss Nepal and the walk surrounded by snow mountains. #nepal #ebc #ebctrek taken in Everest Base Camp - Nepal by @edigoodman

43 now.

I just finished the Camino de Santiago and I still need some time to process everything. It was more than just a walk.

There were days when my knees were killing me, days when I was completely exhausted, and days when I just kept walking and thinking about life. Somewhere along the way, I found myself slowing down, looking around, and feeling grateful to God for how far He has brought me and for all the things I’ve been blessed with.

Everything happened so fast, I still have so many things on my bucket list, and hopefully I can tick them off one by one every year. Life has been so good lately that I honestly don’t wish for much else. Just grateful to God, and hoping I can keep going, keep exploring, keep doing what I love, and see where He takes me next. taken in Santiago de Compostela, Spain by @edigoodman

4 days without signal, 3 freezing nights under the milky way, and one more mountain above 3000 m finally checked off the list. I’d been wanting to trek here since the first time I heard about it, but the timing just never worked out until now. Since my previous plans fell through, I decided to just book an open trip by myself, and I’m so glad I did.

Known as the longest trek in Java, the walk up was actually pretty smooth and easy. Going down, on the other hand, absolutely brutal and ridiculously steep.

If this were my first time hiking in Java, I probably would’ve been blown away by the landscapes. It’s definitely pretty, but the vibes and savannahs felt super familiar to other mountains I’ve done. The views weren’t mind blowing to me, but that didn’t even matter.

Argopuro is really one of those spots meant for camping with a good group, unplugging completely, and just chilling since there’s zero signal up there. Met many new hikers along the way, and the companionship and shared moments around camp were the best part of the whole trip.

We really never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. You just have to keep living, take the leap, and do the things you want to do while you still can.

I’d heard so many amazing things about Ranu Kumbolo over the years.

Everyone said it was magical.

Now I finally understand why.

There’s truly something special about this lake.

A thin layer of fog floated gently above the water in the morning.

Sunrise was pure magic.

The trek here is surprisingly easy, mostly flat, and enjoyable.

You can see the peak of Mt Semeru from the lake.

Calm, peaceful, and almost unreal.

It’s one of those moments you simply stand still and take it all in.

I was also impressed by how well the national park is managed.

Only 200 hikers are allowed each day.

No one is allowed to enter or use the lake in any way.

Every group is required to have a guide. I believe the guides are there not just to lead, but to make sure everyone respects the rules.

The freezing morning air somehow made the experience even better.

It’s rare to find a place that completely lives up to its reputation.

And honestly, that’s exactly how places like this should be protected.

The vegetation here is a bit different. Looks a bit ancient and untouched.

We felt like stepping into a fairy tale.

My first time shooting Rumi, such a sweet dog from a lovely couple who wanted some memories together at the beach. We had to reschedule our first shoot because of the wrong location and ended up doing sunrise instead, which turned out even better with almost no crowd.

Rumi was super calm and chill, not really into long hugs but still gave me a little smile, and that was enough.

Manaslu Circuit Part 2/2

This trip felt almost too perfect.

No bad weather, everyone in a good mood the whole time, met many good people along the way. Everything just smooth. Almost too good to be true. Even now I’m back, I still think about it and wonder if it really happened.

This was my third time in the Himalaya, but this one felt different. I felt free. Didn’t feel like I was in a foreign place anymore. At some point I even thought maybe I could live here. But yeah, probably not. I know I wouldn’t survive.

The day we crossed Larke Pass, I got left behind. Morning was chaos. Woke up at 3 am, trying to do everything at once. Shooting milky way, packing, toilet and breakfast. At one point I even slipped and fell into the river while filling my water bottle in the dark.

By the time I started walking, my heart already racing, trying to catch up… but I couldn’t. So I just kept going alone. Dark, cold, surrounded by these massive iced mountains. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel scared.

It was quiet. And somehow… peaceful.

A simple one hour session with Amy at the beach, but it felt like more than just photos. Amy gave it her all, every emotion moving with the waves, the light, the wind. That kind of energy, you can’t direct much, only capture.

For this indoor photoshoot, we did not use any strobe lights. The studio @namakustudio had beautiful big windows, and we relied solely on the natural light coming in. The entire session took almost two hours, and Karen and Yandy changed outfits twice. We took our time with the wedding dress, but for the second outfit, we didn’t shoot for long because we had to head to the beach.

After working on a cruise ship for seven years as a portrait photographer in a private studio, I was used to artificial light, fixed setups, no changes. This shoot challenged me to think differently about light, poses, and moments. With natural light, the possibilities felt endless.

We had a few mood boards in mind, but as always during a photoshoot, new ideas kept flowing, and we followed them. The session was both fun and challenging.
