I’m such a strong believer in the power of our community colleges and the opportunities they create for our students and families. I had a wonderful time connecting with GCC Trustee @edit_khachatryan and discussing ways we can continue strengthening the partnership between GUSD and Glendale Community College. Excited about the possibilities ahead for our students! 💙📚

The fun stuff we get to do as Trustees… like announce a $1M innovation fund to spark innovation and possibilities. It was so energizing to spend the day with the faculty and staff who make it all happen. by @edit_khachatryan

Another awesome day welcoming students to @glendalecollege campus! I got to talk to career changers, athletes, English learners, and practiced speaking some Armenian, and hung out with two dedicated GCC employees who deeply care about the college and the students! Sevana and Rubina, thanks a for a fun morning. I love being back on a school campus! by @edit_khachatryan

Spent this morning welcoming students to @glendalecollege campus at Verdugo and Garfield. Great energy with some worried faces, excited faces, tired faces - you name it! First day of school is emotional, always. by @edit_khachatryan

Dear friends,

Columbus Elementary
Toll Middle School
Hoover High School
Clark Magnet High School
Glendale Community College

Student.
Teacher.
Trustee.

Not many people get to experience a community from so many perspectives.

This immigrant girl could have never imagined this! Thirty-five years ago, my family arrived here seeking opportunity, and Glendale gave me an education, a sense of belonging, and a future.

The community that raised me has now entrusted me with the honor of serving as Glendale Community College trustee.

I am grateful for every volunteer, donor, supporter, and voter who made this possible. I also deeply appreciate and respect my opponent, who ran a positive campaign focused on the issues.

As your trustee, I will work to ensure that Glendale Community College continues to be an engine of opportunity for generations of students to come.

I’m excited to get to work.

With gratitude,
