Nivin Pauly is set to return to his signature feel-good romantic charm in his highly anticipated upcoming film, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 21, 2026, as an Onam festival special. Directed by Gireesh A.D.—celebrated for his massive blockbuster Premalu—and produced by the powerhouse trio of Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios, the movie marks Nivin’s first-ever collaboration with this acclaimed production team. The story explores a chaotic, gossip-fueled world of a local Catholic neighborhood committee in Kerala, where an unexpected age-gap romance sparks between Nivin’s character, Justin, and Ashley, played by rising sensation Mamitha Baiju. Co-written by Gireesh A.D. and Kiran Josey, this vibrant family entertainer features an ensemble supporting cast including Vinay Forrt, Sangeeth Prathap, and Bindu Panicker, all elevated by an energetic musical score by Vishnu Vijay.

🎬 777 Charlie (2022)
777 Charlie is a heartfelt Kannada adventure drama that beautifully explores loneliness, companionship, healing, and the unexpected bond between a man and a dog. Directed by Kiranraj K, the film follows Dharma, a withdrawn and emotionally closed-off man whose monotonous life takes an unexpected turn when Charlie, a playful Labrador, enters his world. What begins as an unwanted responsibility slowly develops into a friendship that changes both of their lives in ways neither could have imagined.
Dharma is not the kind of protagonist who easily lets people into his life. He lives alone, follows a rigid routine, and keeps the world at a distance. Charlie, on the other hand, is full of energy, curiosity, and affection. Their personalities couldn't be more different, yet that contrast becomes the heart of the film. Slowly, Charlie breaks through Dharma's walls—not through grand gestures, but through everyday companionship, trust, and unconditional affection.
Rakshit Shetty delivers a deeply restrained performance as Dharma, allowing the character's emotions to emerge gradually rather than through constant dramatic moments. Charlie becomes much more than a pet within the story; the character represents companionship, hope, and the possibility of finding happiness again. Their journey together transforms Dharma from someone simply existing through each day into someone capable of caring, feeling, and living again.
What makes 777 Charlie especially moving is its understanding of the silent power of companionship. Sometimes, healing doesn't come through a life-changing speech or a dramatic moment. Sometimes, it comes from having someone beside you every day—someone who doesn't judge your past, doesn't ask you to explain yourself, and simply stays.
The film is ultimately a celebration of a bond that doesn't need words.

🎬🍿Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has created box-ottice history by reportedly crossing the $300 crore worldwide mark in just 24 days, becoming only the second Malayalam film to enter the 7300 crore club. The Nivin Pauly-Mamitha Baiju starrer has also surpassed Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time.
Directed by Girish A.D., the film’s remarkable run is especially notable for its strong word-of-mouth and family audience response. It has also become the biggest hit of Nivin Pauly’s career, marking a major comeback for the actor.
In short: Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is not just a $300 crore grosser-it has become a new benchmark in Mollywood box-office history, showing the growing commercial reach of Malavalam cinema.

@nivinpaulyactor 🤍 @mamitha_baiju 🤍
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit (2026)

Some movies are made to tell a story, while some simply make you feel like you've become a part of that world. Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is one of those films - a warm, colourful journey filled with love, laughter, family, friendships, awkward moments and all those little emotions that feel surprisingly close to home.

With Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju leading the way, the film brings together romance and humour in a beautifully relatable setting. There's something special about watching characters who don't feel larger than life, but instead feel like people we might actually know - the neighbours, friends, cousins and families we grew up around.

What makes the film even more enjoyable is the way it balances romance with family dynamics and comedy. It doesn't try too hard to be perfect; it simply lets its characters breathe, make mistakes, fall in love, laugh, argue and create memories along the way.

And that Girish A.D. touch makes the whole experience even more youthful and familiar. From the little moments to the chemistry, humour and emotional beats, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit carries that easygoing charm that makes you smile even after the movie ends.

A film about first love, second chances, family bonds and the kind of moments that stay with you. Sometimes, all we need is a simple story, good characters and a theatre full of laughter.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit - a little chaotic, a little romantic, a lot of fun, and most importantly... full of heart.
