I can't believe that the UK government continues to be complicit in this and won't suspend arms sales.

International law is being violated with devastating and completely avoidable loss of life. Most of the people being killed are women and children.

Wild Women is the perfect home for my Sheela na gig poem which is a celebration of female power and sexuality through the Sheela na gig carvings that can be found carved above the doorways and windows of churches and other buildings to ward off evil.

The poem was inspired by Melanie Jackson's stunning ink and pigment drawings of Mediaeval "Bawdy Badges" in "Spekyng Rybawdy" for the Procreate Project. If you've never heard of Bawdy Badges they feature all kinds of playful depictions of v&lvas for example being carried on litters or wearing a hat and carrying a knapsack. @melanie.jjj @procreateproject by @edithoaken

Can't believe that there's 8 frogs in our pond! Hard to spot them all at once though as they like to hide whenever they hear the sound of me walking up the steps! 🐸

My health declined back in January and I was in hospital for a while and my life was on pause while I focused on trying to manage the pain and other symptoms so I haven't been writing much.

But I'm finally feeling a little bit better now so I'm trying to journal or write a poem every day to keep my mind occupied and sit outside when I can. The frogs have been keeping me company :)

Writing has taken a back seat for me over the last two years as the crazy messiness and heartache that is life has got in the way. I'm hoping that now things have settled down a bit I'll have some time to focus on my writing and finish the poetry pamphlet I've been working on. by @edithoaken
