Après Milan, notre création Argi continue son parcours et rejoint la galerie du French Design à Paris - 120 avenue Rollin, dans le 11ième !
Du 15 octobre 2026 au 22 janvier 2027, l'exposition 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵é 𝘭𝘺𝘳𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 propose une exploration sensible de ce qui fait la singularité et le succès de l’art de recevoir à la française. À travers une sélection de pièces de designers et d’architectes d’intérieur français lauréats du prix Le FRENCH DESIGN 100 - dont notre pièce Argi fait partie, l’exposition met en lumière la qualité, la créativité et l’originalité d’un savoir-faire capable de concevoir des univers complets, de raconter des histoires et de susciter l’émotion. Elle offre une expérience unique mêlant design, art et ambiances sonores afin de créer un univers chaleureux et inspirant autour de l’hospitalité contemporaine.
La scénographie a été confiée au Studio Andrée Putman, dont l’expertise et le rayonnement international sont largement reconnus. Le studio a imaginé un parcours immersif et sensible autour du rêve incarnant les valeurs d’excellence, d’élégance et d’émotion portées par l’art de recevoir à la française.

From October 15th to January 22nd, the exhibition 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵é 𝘭𝘺𝘳𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 offers a sensitive exploration of what makes the French art of entertaining so distinctive and successful. Through a selection of works by French designers and interior architects who have been awarded the Le FRENCH DESIGN 100 prize - including our piece Argi, the exhibition highlights the quality, creativity and originality of a savoir-faire capable of creating complete environments, telling stories and evoking emotion. It offers a unique experience combining design, art and soundscapes to create a warm and inspiring world centred around contemporary hospitality.
The scenography was entrusted to Studio Andrée Putman, whose expertise and international reputation are widely recognised. The studio has conceived an immersive and evocative journey inspired by dreams, embodying the values of excellence, elegance and emotion that define the French art of entertaining.

Maddi Bi par Joan Tarragó : Pourquoi cette table basse ressemble à une montagne posée sous un ciel de verre

La pièce appartient à la collection baptisée Joaldunak, un ensemble de trois objets commandé par la maison d’édition biarrote autour du thème du berger, Artzain en basque. Le Joaldun est ce personnage des carnavals navarrais qui porte des peaux de brebis et des sonnailles dans le dos, et qui, dit la tradition, réveille la nature à la sortie de l’hiver.

Tarragó, installé à Barcelone après Athènes, Berlin, Paris et Biarritz, s’est rendu au carnaval de Lantz avant de dessiner quoi que ce soit. Une méthode qui change de la moodboard Pinterest du vendredi après-midi...

L’exposition ‘L’entre et le mouvement’ est à l’affiche tout l’été à la galerie du coté. Le premier chapitre ’Singuliers’ se terminera dans quelques jours, mardi 21 juillet, avant de laisser place au second, ‘Dépaysés’ le 23 juillet.
Alors venez nombreux découvrir le premier chapitre, et inscrivez-vous dès aujourd’hui pour le vernissage du 23 juillet (lien en bio) !

The stunning Maddi coffee table - designed by @joantarrago for éditions du coté - at the heart of a unique interior design project by Maentler studio (@maentlerae).
A creation that bridges local craftsmanship and exceptional materials, with glass shaped at Saint-Gobain's factory (@saintgobainglassfrance) in Bayonne, brought to life by Agglolux CBL (@aggloluxcbl) and GroupeTauzin(@tauzingroup).
Beautiful collaborations rooted in our own backyard. ✨

The current exhibition at galerie du coté is a manifesto for singularity, beauty and curiosity. The first chapter of a summer-long exhibition titled 𝘓'𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘵 𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 is named 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴, an uncommon plural for a word that means unique... And that is precisely the point of the exhibition : showing that being different and creating truly singular works is a gift to the world, as long as it is generous, positive and not community or self-oriented. In an open-minded environment, it will create curiosity and put everyone of us in movement towards each other, and away from the dull confirmation-biased uniformity that polarize our globalized societies.

𝘈𝘳𝘨𝘪 at Cherenda House
On the heights of Arcangues, facing the majestic reliefs of the Rhune and the gentle lines of the valley, the Hébrard House - known a s Cherenda - engages in a rare dialogue with the landscape. Designed i n 1971 by architect Jean-Raphaël Hébrard as a home for his family, it embodies both the momentum of modernism and a deep anchoring in the Basque and Landes traditions.
In this setting, photographer Roberto Badin unfolds his sharp and sensitive gaze. His images capture the light sliding along the diagonals and the subtle dialogue between architecture and nature.
Some contemporary creations from éditions du coté and galerie du coté have found their place within the house. Sculptures and furniture engage in a conversation with the space, extending the dialogue between past and present.

Argi par Maentler studio : quand Biarritz et le Pays Basque font voyager le design français à Milan

Cette semaine, c’est Milan ou rien ! Alors que la semaine ne fait que débuter, petit focus sagement préparer en amont du déplacement, pour vous présenter le projet baptisé ARGI.

Argi, conçu par Maentler studio pour les éditions du coté est aussi du voyage ! Trois tables d’appoint en hêtre massif vernis mat, trois volumes, un seul geste artisanal. Trois pièces, un seul principe..
