I’ve trained at a lot of places and EDJ is top notch. Professor JP and Professor Kim do an amazing job explaining techniques — not just showing the move, but breaking down the details, concepts, and why it works. They make complex positions easy to understand for all levels and are always willing to answer questions. They have great atmosphere, great instruction, and you actually retain what you learn. Highly recommend! 🙏🥋 by @edjmartialarts

MOUNTED ARMBAR DETAILS

Small details make a big difference in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

In this video, Prof. JP shares a few important details to help you improve your control, positioning, and mechanics when attacking the armbar from mount.

Remember, good technique is about precision, timing, and control, not just strength.

What's your biggest challenge when finishing an armbar from mount?

“What if I’m nervous about coming in alone?”

That’s completely normal.

Starting Jiu-Jitsu can feel intimidating when you’ve never done it before, especially if you don’t know anyone.

But you don’t need experience, you don’t need to be in shape, and you don’t have to figure anything out on your own. We’ll guide you through your first class step by step.

And if coming alone makes you nervous, bring a friend and try your first class together.

The hardest part is walking through the door. After that, we’ll take care of the rest.

Two bronze medals yesterday! One in my own division and the second in the Open Weight Category.

My goal throughout the day was to stay in the present moment. Instead of listening to pump up tunes, I focused on my breathing and rehearsed my matches in my mind as I warmed up.

Thank you to the entire EDJ team for pushing me to my best.

Onto the next 🎯

Bad positions are part of Jiu-Jitsu. Panicking doesn’t help you escape.

When you’re stuck under pressure, the first step most of the time it’s to stay calm, control your breathing, recognize what’s happening, and wait for the right opportunity.

The better you manage your emotions, the better decisions you make.

Now let’s hear from you! 👇

What’s the hardest position for you to stay calm in? by @edjmartialarts

PROUD OF OUR EDJ TEAM!

This past weekend at @jjworldleague in San Diego, our team brought home 2 Team Trophies! Bronze elite 8 & bronze overall academies.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students, competitors, and coaches who continue to represent EDJ on and off the mats.

A big thank you to our coaches, teammates, and families for their continued support.

Individual achievements are special, but growing and succeeding together as a team makes them even better.

Congratulations, EDJ family! Let’s keep working and improving together! 👊 by @edjmartialarts
