Hi I am a single mother of 3 and I am obsessed with adult coloring! I use this account exclusively for coloring which is now my favorite hobby.

Magical little witch 🧙‍♀️ this page was so incredibly enjoyable. I used so many different mediums and this paper handled it all like a champ. I did multiple layers of watercolor and the paper didnt pill and the colors blended so well. Honestly the Dover paper in their creative haven books handles water well too. I'm really working on lighting and contrast as well as color placement. I am still struggling with skin but I'll keep trying 😊 I had much more shading on the face and decided to try the Holbein meltz pen on it and it really screwed it up. Thankfully I was able to make it look decent after that! @doverpublications @eevanikunen #darkmagiccoloring #adultcoloring #mixedmediacoloring #halloweencoloring by @edl88colors

Dragonfly catching mosquito meal. This page was so much fun! I absolutely love these Smithsonian coloring books by Rachel Curtis but I rarely ever see them on coloring channels. I used so many mediums just playing and trying things out. Neocolor ii, acrylic glitter paint, metallic watercolor paint, watercolor brush markers, pitt pens, water soluble soft pastels, colored pencils, acrylic glitter and metallic paint pens, colored pencils, acrylic gel pens and white gel pen. I wanted to make the wings look realistic and I don't know if I achieved that but I think they look pretty good! These books are by IDW and some are printed in China and some are printed in Korea. The China printed do better with water mediums. This one is printed in Korea and they do okay too. #smithsoniancoloring #idwpublishing #rachelcurtis #adultcoloringbook ##mixedmediacoloring by @edl88colors

I tried a thing! I saw some beautiful Leila Duly wreath pages where people had added a scene in the middle and wanted to give that a try. I colored the flowers and leaves first. Since Independence Day for the USA is in July I thought fireworks would be a cool idea. I actually scraped the first scene I had made over land and was not feeling good about this page almost the entire time up until the end when I started making the fireworks really pop. I used so many mediums on this page. I used all my best colored pencil sets for the wreath to see what worked best and they all worked very well. I used gouache, watercolor, acrylic gel pen, metallic gel pen and glitter gel pen for the scene. I used watercolor pencils for the area outside the wreath. Unfortunately the tape ripped the paper even though I stuck it to my clothes several times before placing it, but thats okay. It did not ruin the image thankfully 😅 I love this coloring book! @leiladuly #floweryear #adultcoloringbook #mixedmediacoloring by @edl88colors

Wavy Pastel Dragon 🐉 this is totally a page save! Swipe to the second photo to see the before when I was very new at coloring and tried inktense. It looked horrible and took me months to return to it. This is the first time I've use acrylic paint pens to save a page and I think it was a success! I'm really proud of how it turned out! I tried some blending with the paint but it only shows on the yellow spine spikes. I also used gel pens, watercolor, and colored pencil. I absolutely love Miki Takei's art style. It is so beautiful and the paper in her books are excellent for all mediums including water. I put a lot of water on this page and there was no bleed through at all. #mikitakeicoloringbook #adultcoloringbook #mixedmediacoloring #mikitakei by @edl88colors

First bokeh background attempt. I had this book on pre-order and I love it! @pentasticarts is one of my favorite illustrators. I used watercolors, watercolor brush markers, colored pencils and gel pens. Such an enjoyable page. I usually have a bunch of work in progress pages and some keep my focus until done and this page definitely falls into that category. I'm so happy these are printed on paper that take water mediums well now! #mythographiccoloringbook #aliceinwonderlandcoloringbook #adultcoloringbook #mixedmediacoloring by @edl88colors

This is Ixchel the Mayan Goddess of healing and children from Creative Haven Gorgeous Goddesses coloring book by Marty Noble. She is absolutely one of my very favorite illustrators of all time! Surprisingly the Creative Haven paper is actually quite good for various mediums. I based with Himi jelly gouache and did everything else with water based markers, colored pencils and gel pen. Lots of metallic and sparkly gel pen! The watercolor and water based marker did well with no pilling of the paper. It took me about a week to complete this after working on it here and there. I'm still figuring out shading skin and creating fur. I've got a ways to go on those but overall I think it turned out pretty good! #MartyNoble #Creativehavencoloringbooks #adultcoloringbook #gorgeousgoddesses by @edl88colors

If I did this page over, I would have not made her outfit so vibrant and tie it in more with the background. Her outfit definitely makes her stand out though. I used watercolor on most of the background and it surprisingly performed well on this Creative Haven paper, as long as I didn't soak the page with water. I also used alcohol marker, colored pencils and gel pen. I really love Marty Noble's art style it's so beautiful and eclectic. I've got many of her books and am excited to color in them all! I am looking forward to her new book coming out in August 🥰🥰🥰 #MartyNoble @creativehavenbooks #steapunkdesigns #adultcoloringbook #mixedmediacoloring by @edl88colors

I've been plugging along on this page for about a week or so and it's been so enjoyable. Up until the end I thought I had finally made it through a page without messing something up and I was saving the eyes for one of the last things. Unfortunately I messed up one of the eyes and tried to fix it as best as possible...Hopefully it's not too noticeable. I was going to work on making the bubbles look better but after that I'm calling it done. In any case I think it's one of my best pages yet! I used Inktense, various brands of watercolor brush markers (my new favorite medium), Gelly Roll gel pens, Lets Resin acrylic markers and a bit of Woomer colored pencil. There are a few different publishers for Millie Marotta's books. This one is Union Square & Co. The paper is pretty good and there was no bleed through unless I went over again before letting the wet media dry. @milliemarotta #preciousplanetcolouringbook #milliemarotta #mixedmediacoloring #adultcoloringbook by @edl88colors

This page was a labor of love over several days! It's got several types of mediums and I love the colorful glow of the pea horse's tail. I used some major sparkliness- glitter bomb watercolor, metallic gel pen and glitter gel pens. The majority was alcohol marker and some acrylic ink as well as opaque gel pen. I can't wait to do more! @menis_art #melpomenichatzipanagiotou #dreamvoyage #adultcoloringbook #mixedmediacoloring by @edl88colors
