i have been experiencing some kind of post-yourshot depression which i was warned about but still woefully unprepared for… i am trying to use the time to break down and rebuild myself, build my relationships with music & people, and find how i fit into it all. i do not think edm4dogs will be my dj name for much longer, but the next one i dont yet know. i will find out soon enough. thank you all by @edm4dogs

WOAW it’s been 5 weeks since i first touched some decks, and only 2 more weeks until my first dj set..
it’s a precise yet chaotic process i’m still warming up to. my old enemy stage fright came to greet me during this process, something i had to learn to cope with as a child before finding myself performing characters on stage as a teenager regularly. now after almost a decade off stage, i’ve found myself crawling back, but behind more equipment, and more creative control. it’s nervewracking and exhilarating simultaneously, an exercise in letting myself relax and embracing authenticity, vulnerability, and energy

ANYWAY I FORGOT TO RECORD MY PRACTISE SET LOLL But luckily for me my classmates r the best and got some clips of me grooving out and beginning a transition between tracks … THANK UUU @misslis.au

DJ ADMIN ISNT AS ATTENTION GRABBING AS 3L OF BEER AT HEAVEN ON EARTH…insights ahead

planning to get my first decks in the next few days and feeing grateful for my time without them. it’s allowed me hours spent to get the music i love, ensure i won’t lose it, make sure it’s accurate in rekordbox(or whateverrr u use), set phrasing cues.
almost all my time at home has been preparing for the few hours in class or practise a week, and it’s all been well used. no class time has been wasted due to file corruptions or unformatted usbs. this is a boring but necessary psa, SPEND TIME ORGANISING!!! otherwise you’ll spend the performance time organising!!! FUCK THAT

almost 2 weeks until me and my cohorts debut at the court!!! i’m shitting but excited. hard to post without spoilers…. USE MY CODE EDM4DOGS to get tix to the showcase with $5 off AND support me at the same time..

the universe has me feeling loved and humbled simultaneously..
my health issues had me unable to do much yesterday, and i couldn’t be present for family plans and a fundraising event i’ve been waiting for weeks for, instead having to take myself to the pharmacy. i went to bed feeling down about myself.
this morning i woke up to an email saying somebody had purchased my album, the first time i have ever received this email as my music is currently free to download and stream!! YAYY!!!! i also have hit 100 followers here on instagram after not much time. these are milestone moments. THANK YOU!!!!

HELLO I bit the bullet and recorded some morning musings(excuse my pjs)… reflecting on being a music lover in perth and missing some of my favourite artists, but also knowing some of my favourite artists are still right here in our city.

two things i cannot emphasise enough:
1. i have NO BEEFS with anyone named, touring is a logistics nightmare and missing a city is NOT a show of character!!
2. this is my PERSONAL experience as somebody in perth very new to the music scene, and frankly, one that doesn’t have a lot of money behind me..
