After 30 years of consistent growth, the recent addition of the World Party Parade, and years of countless fans asking for a lower capacity, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before the festival moved to two weekends. A move Pasquale has talked about for years.

EDC Las Vegas will now take place across two weekends, nicknamed Dusk & Dawn, which will provide lower prices, low capacity, and the opportunity to attend both weekends.

This announcement, paired with the recent 45% booking rate of electronic acts at Coachella, combine for a monumental milestone for EDM in the U.S. 🤯

After the Epstein file outrage, Wasserman is now looking to sell. 👉

Subtronics: “I want to address the ongoing situation at Wasserman. I haven’t posted about this along with other artists because there are people working around the clock to navigate an absolute nightmare situation that could jeopardize people who are not connected in any way. I do not stand with Casey Wasserman or his atrocious actions. Accountability is fucking important and he should step the fuck down and out of everything he is part of. I’m sad that my agent of ten years, and so many others impacted by this, are dealing with the actions from a gross CEO far above them. They deserve the opportunity to shape their own futures. I have no intnetion of staying at a company affiliated with Casey Wasseran. Change is necessary and it is coming. We’re hoping to have a major update very very soon.”

Rezz: “I have no intention of staying at a company owned by Casey Wasserman. My team has been working to figure this out. Thx for ur patience.”

Zeds Dead: “We are aware of the Wasserman situation, and we are working with our core team to determine the best path forward for everyone. Our agent is literally our family and someone we have been with since before ZD. We appreciate your patience as we work through the complexities, but know that we are on it.”

AlleyCvt: “I want to acknowledge the serious concerns being raised around the Casey Wasserman situation. This has been upsetting and deeply troubling to learn about, and I understand why so many people are demanding accountability and clarity. I take this seriously. I’ve been in ongoing conversations with my team as we process what this means and how to move forward. I hold all the people I work with to a very high standard. I know my agents as ethical, hardworking individuals, and I also know they are navigating this carefully and responsibly behind the scenes. I don’t have every answer today, but will be taking meaningful action aligned with my values here soon.”

Other artists who spoke out: John Summit, Chappell Roan, Liquid Stranger, Above and Beyond, Of The Trees, Daily Bread, Odesza, Lane 8, Levity, and more.

After files related to Jeffrey Epstein were made public, Levity announced they’ve cut ties with talent agency Wasserman.

The trio said they “do not stand for the actions of its CEO and refuse to be represented by his company,” adding that they appreciate their individual agents and hope to continue work with them. Several pop and indie artists exited the agency earlier in the week, but Levity is the first major EDM act to make the move.

While Wasserman is not being formally accused, the Justice Department documents show that in 2003, Wasserman founder and CEO Casey Wasserman exchanged flirtatious emails with Ghislaine Maxwell, who was later convicted for her role in Epstein’s abuse network. In their statement, Levity thanked fans for bringing the situation to their attention and said it demonstrates the impact of speaking up collectively.

Levity just officially set the record for most lasers used at an EDM show in North America, deploying 330 rainbow lasers simultaneously across the venue. The entire system was powered by 9 separate computers, all working in sync.

“We will be breaking the North American record by a LOT,” Levity said. “That includes Thunderdome yes. It will be the 3rd largest laser show ever in the world. The 2nd was at a hockey game halftime show and the first was at a concert in the Netherlands.”

The night closed with a Levity b2b GRiZ b2b Crankdat, putting a perfect cap on an already historic show.

Bandcamp has officially banned all AI-generated music. In a new blog post titled Keeping Bandcamp Human, the platform announced that music generated “wholly or in substantial part” by artificial intelligence is no longer allowed, alongside a strict ban on AI-assisted impersonation of other artists.

The move is aimed at protecting independent artists and preserving trust between musicians and fans. Bandcamp says the policy is rooted in the sheer volume of human creativity on the platform and gives users the ability to report content they believe is AI-generated. This marks one of the clearest anti–generative AI stances taken so far by a major music platform.

Do you think other platforms will follow? 🤔
