This week’s Artist Spotlight shines on one of Hard Dance’s most innovative acts. Fusing rawstyle, hardstyle and rock inspired influences with their own vocals, RIOT SHIFT have built a sound that’s emotional, aggressive and instantly recognisable. Rather than following trends, they’ve carved out an identity entirely of their own.

SINGAPORE’S LIKKI TO MAKE TOMORRROWLAND DEBUT AT HOUSE OF FORTUNE THIS WEEKEND 🇸🇬✨

Singapore’s electronic music scene has another reason to celebrate as LIKKI prepares to make her Tomorrowland debut this year.

LIKKI was selected as one of the finalists in the JBL x Martin Garrix Music Academy, an initiative created to discover and nurture emerging DJ talent from around the world. Following the programme, she has now secured a performance slot at Tomorrowland Belgium, where she’ll take to the House of Fortune stage during Weekend 2 on 25 July 2026.

By performing at Tomorrowland this year, it marks a major milestone in her career and another proud moment for Singapore’s electronic music community on the global stage.

KICKCHEEZE AND FAHJAH TO HEADLINE SONGKRUN’S SINGAPORE DEBUT AT WILD WILD WET ALONGSIDE TOP HOMEGROWN DJS LIVE THIS AUGUST 🏃💦

Singapore’s festival calendar is about to welcome something completely different.

Making its debut on 1 August, SongkRun combines a 5km or 10km fun run, a full day of fitness activities, a music festival, and unlimited access to the rides and attractions at Wild Wild Wet - all in a single event.

Headlining the inaugural edition are Kickcheeze alongside Fahjah, who will be making his Singapore debut. Joining them is a strong lineup of homegrown talents including Kaeiz, BLVCKVOX, Syndex, Joshua Dillon, Mya and Gwen.

Blending fitness, music and waterpark thrills into one experience, SongkRun promises to be one of Singapore’s most unique lifestyle festivals this year.

SINGAPORE’S CLUB CHANTS: ICONIC OR OVERDONE? 🕺🏻

If you’ve been out in Singapore’s clubs recently, you’ve probably noticed one thing becoming even more evident as of late - the chants.

While club chanting has long been part of Singapore’s nightlife culture, many clubbers have observed it becoming increasingly prominent across clubs and electronic music events. Whether it’s before a huge drop, during a festival anthem or at the peak of a DJ’s set, the crowd often joins in with chants that have become synonymous with a night out.

For some, it’s all part of the experience, creating an electric atmosphere and bringing the crowd together. For others, they feel the chants can sometimes take attention away from the music and the DJ’s performance.
