We will be closed Wednesday, September 30 for National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

Every year, September 30 is a day to honour survivors of residential schools and the children who never made it home. We encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, and remember.

Our office will reopen Thursday, October 1 for phone support inquiries. by @edmontonopera

Before the first note, there was sunlight on the water, a path through the gardens, and a community gathering with open hearts.

After the final note, what lingers is gratitude.

Thank you for being part of Opera al Fresco, and thank you to the many sponsors and partners who helped make this night bloom.

Opera al Fresco begins with an idea: bring people together, make room for music, and see what grows.

Our heartfelt thanks to Robert Rosen, Presenting Sponsor, for helping us bring another evening of opera into the garden.

The first notes of our evening found their home among the trees, pathways and quiet beauty of the Kurimoto Japanese Garden.

Thank you to T.C. Steel Ltd., our Kurimoto Japanese Garden Sponsor, for helping make this part of the evening possible.

As the evening unfolded, so did the view.

Thank you to Raywalt, our Aga Khan Garden Sponsor, for helping us fill this extraordinary space with music, community and a little late-summer magic.

A little extra delight never hurts.

Thank you to Thomas Fath & Jo-Ann Kolmes, our Door Prize Sponsor, for adding another moment of fun to an already special evening.

Opera is always sweeter with dessert.

Our thanks to Alberta Blue Cross, Dessert Sponsor, for helping us end the evening on a particularly delicious note.

There really is no backdrop quite like this one.

Our gratitude to the University of Alberta Botanic Garden, our Venue Partner, for welcoming Opera al Fresco and giving our community such a beautiful place to gather, wander and listen.

Good music, good company and something delicious to enjoy along the way.

Thank you to Sorrentino’s, our Charcuterie Partner, for helping make Exterior of the garden pavilion with its sweeping wood roof and string lights, as guests walk past in the late afternoon.
