Before negotiations, celebrations, or simple conversations even begin in a Nigerian home, trust is built in the first sixty seconds through the sacred art of welcome. Whether it’s kola nut and drinks in Benin, bier for the Tiv, kunu for the Idoma, or water for the Igala, the ritual remains the same.
