Monday was Boston Marathon Day. Always special. It’s where im from. It’s a huge tradition. I’ve always had the excitement of lots of my oldest friends cheering along the course. I’ve now done it as a runner 3 times and handcyclist 4 or 5. But this Monday was extra special. It was my 9-year “Crashiversary”. A day when I reflect on the craziness that is my new life, all the love I’ve experienced and get to appreciate daily, and what I’ve been able to do since 4/20/2017. To win the women’s handcyling division made it all the more special and to have Adam and Jessi waiting for me at the finish was even better. Couldn’t imagine a better way to commemorate the day. ❤️❤️❤️ by @edperk

A simple botched transfer in June caused me to break my femur. I’m now loaded up with even more hardware which will hopefully make my leg (and hip) fairly indestructible. Doc says it’s healing well. by @edperk
