Meet a Local Plant Pioneer! Join Us for a Special Garden Club Meeting! 🌿
Please join the Anderson Creek Garden Club in welcoming our special guest for the month: Eric Walton of Harnett County’s own Elliott Orchids and Rare Plants!
What began as a passionate hobby during his 35-year career in tech has flourished into a thriving business. Eric’s love for orchids started during his travels around the globe, where he discovered and admired these exquisite plants. That passion grew—literally!—into a stunning collection of more than 7,000 plant species from around the world, including many rare and exotic orchids, all nurtured within his greenhouse.
Now, he's sharing his expertise with the community! Eric will join us to discuss his journey and share valuable lessons on cultivating these remarkable plants.
Whether you're an experienced orchid grower or simply curious, this event is perfect for you!
✅ Get your orchid care questions answered
✅ Discover stunning orchid varieties that grow right here in North Carolina
✅ Learn how to turn a passion into a purpose
Event Details:
📅 Date: Tuesday, January 20th
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Patriot Hall, 216 Anderson Creek Drive, Spring Lake, NC
✨ Bonus! Eric will have a selection of orchids, specialty growing media, and other rare plants available for purchase after his presentation. Bring your checkbook and take home a beautiful new plant for your collection! Eric is also an accomplished artist and painter—you can view his work online on the Elliott Orchids Facebook page.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from an expert plantsman right here in our community. Invite your friends and fellow plant lovers—we look forward to seeing you there!

Nighttime fog on the farm, time lapse. You can't tell because of the exposure but the fog was so thick you couldn't see 20 feet in front of you. by @edubnine
