I didn’t plan on starting a tutoring company.

I was a classroom teacher for 13 years, and I loved it. I loved my students, my colleagues, and my school. But I kept seeing the same thing over and over again:

Kids who needed more support…
Parents who didn’t know where to turn…

So I created Educational Edge, a team of certified teachers who provide personalized, one-on-one support that truly meets kids where they are, while building academic skills and confidence.

Now, as a mom myself, this work feels even more personal.

Parenting is hard, and parenting a child who is struggling in school can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to do it alone.

“I’m bad at math.”

It’s so hard to hear your child say that, especially when you can see how hard they’re trying. In that moment, they may need help finding a way back into the problem more than they need the answer.

Try asking, “Show me what you’ve tried so far.” Then look for one part you can work through together.

Small moments like this help kids see that getting stuck doesn’t mean they can’t do math. 💜

It’s having a certified teacher notice where a student hesitates, identify the skill underneath the struggle, and adjust the lesson in real time.
