Kate is attempting an extraordinary challenge by walking 7,500 miles from Scotland to Hong Kong, a journey expected to take around three years. Around two months in, she has already reached Slovenia and will eventually cross 18 countries and two continents entirely on foot.

The goal isn’t just to reach Hong Kong. Kate hopes to raise £1 million for three Scottish charities: The Usual Place, which supports young people with disabilities into employment and independent living, Dumfries and Galloway Befriending Project, which helps combat loneliness through volunteer befriending, and SAMH, Scotland’s national mental health charity. If she succeeds, it will be one of the most remarkable fundraising walks ever attempted.
