Dina O. Nasr is an Early Years Consultant, CPD Trainer, speaker and children’s author with over 16 years of experience helping educators and families raise confident, curious readers.

As the creator of the CSI StoryTalk (Connect, Share, Imagine) approach, Dina transforms picture books into language-rich learning experiences that develop communication, critical thinking, creativity and a genuine love of reading. Her practical approach bridges educational research with real classroom practice, giving adults simple strategies they can use immediately.

Dina has delivered author visits, keynote presentations, literacy events and professional development across schools, nurseries, libraries and international book fairs throughout the UAE and the wider region. Her interactive visits go far beyond a traditional book reading. Every session combines storytelling, purposeful discussion, movement and hands-on activities that actively involve children while giving educators practical ideas they can continue using long after the visit ends. Whether speaking to children, training educators or supporting parents, Dina’s mission is to help every story become a meaningful conversation that inspires children to think, talk, imagine and fall in love with books.

I’m a children’s author, a mum of three, an early years educator and consultant, a proud bookworm, a passionate home cook, and someone who can never resist a fun DIY project.

But more than anything…

I believe books can change childhoods.

Years ago, as a first-time mum, I discovered how powerful stories could be in helping children communicate, build confidence, and fall in love with learning. That journey changed my life—and it’s why I’m here today.

230 children, one auditorium - and Billy Bear bringing us together! 🐻📚✨

What an energetic visit to @diyaracademyfujairah Diyar Private Academy Boys Dibba! Year 2 and 3 joined me for an engaging storytelling session with Billy Bear’s Brown Hair, exploring self-love, kindness and what it means to be a true friend.

The auditorium buzzed with excitement, thoughtful ideas and imaginative conversations. Through Connect–Share–Imagine, we connected Billy’s story to our own feelings and experiences.

My favourite part? Hearing children’s thoughts as the story unfolded. That’s where the magic happens!

A day filled with stories, inspiration and meaningful connections at the Reading for Pleasure Caravan Conference! 📚✨

The journey began with the first session at the Museum of the Future, followed by inspiring conversations about early childhood education, the power of picture books and how we can help children discover the joy of reading.

Meeting Gavin McCormack was a true highlight, and connecting with fellow authors made the experience even more special. Different journeys, different perspectives, but one shared love of stories.
