MARKED, my first photobook.

MARKED reflects on the act of leaving a mark and asserting one’s presence through art and creativity. Over time, this gesture has evolved from necessity into meaning, becoming a way to communicate and leave a lasting imprint. Tattooing is only one of the languages through which this process takes shape. Fashion, music, and creative direction share the same desire to leave a trace: every gesture, image, and aesthetic choice becomes a way to build identity, communicate a vision, and affirm one’s presence.
Created as part of a university project, MARKED gave me the opportunity to produce my first photobook.
This work is the result of months spent designing, observing, learning, and documenting, as well as the encounters and conversations that shaped this journey.
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of spending time with the founders of @ragazi.mi witnessing their journey and their approach to tattooing up close. I’m deeply grateful to @remstattoo and @edw.art for their time, trust, generosity, and for everything they shared with me. It was an experience that went far beyond the project itself.
A special thanks also goes to @zanottogiovannii for his support, guidance, and for introducing me to Edo and Rems. None of this would have been possible without him.

This is only the first of many. by @remstattoo
