Beautiful cloudy day in #DC for a 10k run/walk combo in #RockCreekPark. Have you gotten outside and moved your body yet…today? Wherever you are? Let’s move! #BMR #BMRDC #73andStillRunning by @edwardcjones3
Survived another #HowardUniversityHomecoming (#HUHC #HUHC2026). The highlight for me was being honored by my peers at the Classes of the 1970s & ‘80s annual party…Back Together Again (BTA). I was given notice about two prior that the planning committee decided they were going to honor me for my contribution of photographically chronically our journey as alumni as well as current/recent life at Howard over the years. But there was a catch involved…LOL: I would provide a one-night photo exhibit (they would sponsor) to be presented at the event at hotel…on Saturday night. With the generous help of Leslie and Ray McFarland (and their 21st Century Expo Group), Roger Glass, Donald Temple, Denise Lee, Janyce Jefferson, Eva Watts…and others…it happened. Still exhausted, but this is the first of the photos I’ve begun to edit and post. More to come. (This is why I wasn’t able to spend much time on campus…especially on Game Day, Saturday, like I usually do.) Thank you all who supported me! by @edwardcjones3
Images from @huswimminganddive’s Annual “Battle at The Burr” Swim Meet vs. the @hoyasswimdive (Georgetown University) on Saturday (10/10/2026)...and from the “After The Battle” - a fundraiser for the swim program and its water safety initiatives hosted by @diversityinaquatics at Lima Twist later that night. Though the Hoyas dominated in the meet - the #HUBison men’s and women’s teams admirably battled to the max. CROSSROADS RADIO SHOW - Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Dr Lawrence Jones, an award-winning, polymathic thought leader, author, and practitioner with over twenty-five years of experience in the energy industry was our outstanding guest for the 2nd hour. He is an ecosystem builder, energy nexus entrepreneur and a brain capitalist. He will discuss: “The Grid Inside: Unlocking Human Potential by Powering Up Brain Capital Behind Bars and Beyond Walls” This theme bridges his background in global utilities and technology directly with human biology. It introduces the powerful metaphor that the human mind is the ultimate power grid, the ultimate super computer more powerful than any AI. It provokes the listener to realize that when a brain short-circuits from stress or trauma—whether inside a cell or outside on the streets—the whole community goes dark. 🔥 HBCUs BACK OUTSIDE! 🏃🏾‍♂️ Professional photos by Brother Edward Jones @edwardcjones3 @ecj3_photography Thursday was an incredible day at Howard University for HBCUs Back Outside, and Black Men Run Washington, DC was proud to be in the building! 💪🏾🖤 We set up our BMRDC tent, met tons of amazing people, handed out plenty of goodies, and most importantly, had some great conversations with young people about the importance of healthy lifestyles, physical activity, running, and taking care of yourself. Events like this are about more than just showing up. They’re about building relationships, creating connections, and letting people know that there is a community waiting for them. We also had the opportunity to connect with other organizations and groups doing great work in our community. That kind of collaboration is what makes events like HBCU Back Outside so special. A HUGE shoutout to our friends at REI! ❤️ We appreciate the continued support and the love you show Black Men Run DC. We truly value this partnership and everything we’re able to accomplish together. And of course, THANK YOU to all of our BMR brothers who came out, volunteered, represented, talked to folks, passed out goodies, and helped make the day a success. This organization is only as strong as the people who continue to show up. From the tent to the conversations to the new connections… BMRDC was OUTSIDE! 🔥🏃🏾‍♂️ #BlackMenRunDC #BMRDC #HBCUBackOutside #HowardUniversity #BlackMenRun HealthyLifestyles RunningCommunity CommunityConnection REI RunWithUs by @edwardcjones3

Did a great (and somewhat unplanned as far as distance) 30 mile bike ride with my buddy KB on Saturday afternoon - from Gravelly Point (very close to Reagan National Airport) to Mt. Vernon, VA, and back. (GPS was mistakenly paused for two miles so reads as 28 miles.) #KeepMoving by @edwardcjones3
